Bailey Boeve Bailey Boeve 6'0" | PF Hinton | 2026 State IA isn’t the 100th best prospect out of the 2026 Class. She is someone that should be ranked much, much higher but due to injury the past few years, that’s kept her off of the hardwood a decent amount of the time. Boeve, the 6’0 PF, is a D1 level Volleyball commit for a reason. She is uber athletic at her size, she is coordinated with good touch, she has impressive footwork near the hoop, and she is smart when it comes to the X’s and O’s. We might not be able to see Boeve on a Bball court again but she is going to thrive with the Creighton Bluejays as a Volleyball star in state that LOVES that sport moving forward. She demonstrated during her high school career that she is a fierce competitor, who is willing to leave it all out on the floor for her squad and that’s something that is going to stick with her at the next level.

Bailey Boeve Bailey Boeve 6'0" | PF Hinton | 2026 State IA is a lengthy forward that has put up solid numbers on a consistent basis for the top-seeded Hinton Blackhawks. Her 6’0″ frame gives her an advantage on the glass where she averages 7.8 boards per game (4.2 of those being offensive rebounds). Boeve also scores the ball at an elite level — this season she is hitting 60% of her attempts, which is good for second on the team at 13.2PPG. She also makes an impact in other important aspects of the game, like creating opportunities for her teammates (3.2APG) and forcing turnovers on defense (2.8SPG). If Hinton can go all the way in the tournament, I will have my eye on Bailey to be a big factor in them getting there.

Bailey Boeve Bailey Boeve 6'0" | PF Hinton | 2026 State IA is back and she is going to be a problem for any other 2A teams that try to matchup with Hinton the rest of this season. Hinton keeps Boeve in the middle within their action. Throughout the night she mainly posted up on either block with her back to the basket or she was put into screening action at the top of the key and then told to work off of that. Sometimes she would get the ball from 15FT out and work towards the middle off the dribble and sometimes she would seal the player she screened, getting all the way to the bucket off of her rolling action, eventually getting a pass for an easy finish within 2-3FT. There were multiple times in this game that she caught on the block. She was then double teamed and she still ended up scoring through two defenders with the contact. This just reminds you of the strength and athletic ability that Boeve competes with. Defensively, she was just as noteworthy. She consistently made plays under the hoop by altering shots that opponents tried to put up from the lane. If not, she would still rebound the ball with a calculated aggression. All in all, this Hinton group is going to be hard to beat this Winter come Playoff time if prospects like Boeve play to their full capabilities like they did tonight.

I really enjoyed Bailey Boeve Bailey Boeve 6'0" | PF Hinton | 2026 State IA ‘s performance last night. The senior forward’s game is a breath of fresh air — she knows her strengths and was a force in the paint. She made an impact on the block with strong seals, and from the elbow where she was able to shot fake / rip and go for multiple tough buckets. It takes a lot to slow Boeve down — she has high-level body positioning on the floor and scores through contact. Included in her bag of tricks last night was a nice up and under between two defenders, a strong spin move to free up her shot, and a drop step + spin for an and-1. She also made a difference on the defensive end where she was the head of the snake in Hinton’s stingy zone defense. There’s lots to like from the 6’0″ senior and she should be proud of her effort against top talent.

(2025 2A State MVP) & company, is going to bring back their main producer from years past. Boeve injured herself early on last season, keeping her out for the entire year. I thought that factor, along with her already being a Creighton Women’s V-Ball commit, might keep her out for her Senior year as well but now I don’t think so. I think she returns and Hinton has a chance to go back2back. They ran the table a year ago, they return everyone, and Boeve is now back with the squad. This seems to be shaping up for a very promising year for Hinton but we will see. As for Boeve, her future is already locked in but I’m sure she would love a State Title in 2A Bball once more before it’s over.

Out of all the sophomores in the state, multi-sport star Bailey Boeve Bailey Boeve 6'0" | PF Hinton | 2026 State IA had the most offensive rebounds in Iowa last season with 5.1. On top of that the Creighton Volleyball commit averaged 15.7 points, 10 rebounds, 2.8 assists, and 3.5 steals per game. I think her numbers will only grow this season after the loss of graduating seniors Kadence Peters and Ashlyn Kovarna. Looking for a player who just does it all? Think Bailey Boeve Bailey Boeve 6'0" | PF Hinton | 2026 State IA .

We don’t talk about Bailey Boeve Bailey Boeve 6'0" | PF Hinton | 2026 State IA throughout the off-season because she is a committed Volleyball prospect during those months but she is someone that we must not forget about moving into the 2024-2025 Varsity season. The simplest way to put it is that Boeve thrives on the basketball court because of her athletic ability. She is someone at 6’0, that is more athletic, coordinated, and balanced than most you come across at the high school level, no matter age or Class. Over the past two season, she has been a terror for opponents that compete against her Hinton High School program. She is a handful to handle while she is attacking on offense and she is a showstopper on defense. As of most recent, she has committed to Creighton to compete on the Volleyball court once her high school career comes to an end but for the next two years, if she continues to play basketball, I expect her to continue to lead the state just like she has up until this point.

Bailey Boeve Bailey Boeve 6'0" | PF Hinton | 2026 State IA is a standout Volleyball player and ranked #1 in her 2026 Class throughout the state of Iowa, according to PrepDig Iowa. Boeve used her athleticism to dominate her competition on the basketball court at a high rate as a Freshman last year and is aiming to do the same thing this time around for her Sophomore season at Hinton High School. Boeve stands at around 6’0 with physicality and a high motor on both sides of the floor. Most of the time, Boeve’s competition just can’t keep up with her endurance throughout a contest and in the end, it leads to huge stat line by the Forward. To no fault of her own, Boeve falls into the issue of playing weak competition at times during her regular high school season. There is nothing she can do about that but to keep on working hard and continue to put up big numbers in the meantime. As for recruiting, I have a hunch that Boeve will be a college volleyball player in her future but until that is set in stone, college teams should take some time to notice her game. It’s more than respectable.

Bailey Boeve starts us off coming in at the #6 spot in this players rankings update following the 22-23′ high school season. Boeve, a 6 foot power forward, made a big impression this season around the state for her production on the court. As a freshman she started every game for the Blackhawks while averaging 15.3 PPG and 11 RPG. It’s also important to mention that she attempted 140 free throws in 24 games, averaging out to just over 5 free throws per game, displaying her physicality near the hoop. She has a really solid game with good instincts and strength around the basket. She has size and length while also possessing some serious athleticism. She does an efficient job scoring the ball as she shot 55% from the field this past season, leading her team to an overall 20-4 record. Her ceiling is fairly high when you consider all the facts I laid out in front of you, it’ll just come down to which sport she will want to pursue at the end of her high-school career as she also has a promising volleyball career lying ahead after a break out season prior to the basketball year tipping off. Keep an eye out for Boeve going forward as her stock could keep rising at this point.

Bailey Boeve Bailey Boeve 6'0" | PF Hinton | 2026 State IA is ranked in the top 5 in points, rebounds, and steals while averaging 16.5 PPG and 10.8 RPG, pretty impressive huh? Boeve and the Hinton Blackhawks have started their 22′-23′ campaign an impressive 9-2 overall and 3-1 in conference. A big reason for the success is the teamwork and chemistry that this program presents. They do a great job of moving, screening, and making it easy on each other. This creates less work for each player while giving the team more opportunities in the long run of games. Boeve possesses the athleticism and smarts to be a big time sports name as the years go on, it’ll just be a matter of time and which specific sport she decides to stick with as she gets older.
