Every summer, there's a group of players that use the AAU circuit to take that next step. It's where confidence gets built, skills get sharpened, and names start to carry a little more weight going into the high school season. For some, it's about proving they belong. For others, it's about reminding people what they're capable of. This group falls right into that mix. With strong showings this summer, they have a chance to build real momentum and carry it into the winter. Don't be surprised when these names start popping up more once the high school season rolls around.

The 6-foot forward in the 2029 class out of Willmar is one to keep an eye on as she heads into a big AAU summer with [program_tooltip program_id='713021' first='West' last='Central United'] Blue. She's an intriguing prospect with a strong feel around the rim, finishing through contact and running the floor as well as anyone her size. She embraces physical play and finds ways to produce. What makes her even more interesting is her ability to step out and knock down the three. That added range makes her tough to match up with. On the defensive end, she shows great timing as a shot blocker and impacts plays around the basket. Expect her to make noise this summer. Watch her video

[player_tooltip player_id='764176' first='Amaya' last='Hinzmann'] - 2027 forward, [program_tooltip program_id='712697' first='MN' last='Crossfire']

The 6'2 post out of St. Michael-Albertville is lining herself up for a big senior year, and it starts with a strong AAU showing with Crossfire Elite. She brings polished footwork on the block and a soft touch that makes her a reliable option around the basket. She plays with patience and doesn't rush, which allows her to make the right read when defenses collapse. Her ability to pass out of the post separates her, and defensively, she anchors the paint with her size and timing. If she can put together a consistent summer and build confidence, she's going to carry real momentum into her final high school season. Watch her video

[player_tooltip player_id='644912' first='Amari' last='Johnson'] - 2029 guard, [program_tooltip program_id='712722' first='North' last='Tartan']

Johnson checks a lot of boxes you want to see at the next level. She has the length, the skill, and the natural ability that translates. The piece that still needs to come along is her confidence. When she's playing free and trusting herself, you can see just how impactful she can be on both ends. This summer feels like a reset point. Getting back to the basics, putting in the work, and stacking small wins will be key. Running with [program_tooltip program_id='712722' first='North' last='Tartan'] gives her a great platform to do that. It's a chance to play loose, compete, and fall back in love with the game. If she can find that rhythm again, don't be surprised when people are reminded quickly why she's been on the radar for so long. Watch her video

[player_tooltip player_id='999548' first='Aniyrah' last='Gorman'] - 2027 guard, [program_tooltip program_id='712700' first='Minnesota' last='Suns']

The move from Two Rivers to Minneapolis North last season ended up being exactly what Gorman needed. Everything just clicked. The speedy guard played with confidence and control, and it showed every time she stepped on the floor. She found her rhythm, and once she did, there wasn't much slowing her down. She gets downhill as well as anyone, putting constant pressure on the defense and creating opportunities not just for herself, but for everyone around her. When defenders sag off, her jump shot makes them pay. It's clean, consistent, and reliable. Now heading into another summer with the MN Suns, she's got momentum on her side. Expect her to keep building. If things keep trending this way, she won't stay under the radar much longer. Watch her video

[player_tooltip player_id='990349' first='Jailynn' last='Sherill'] - 2028 forward, [program_tooltip program_id='767539' first='Minnesota' last='Comets']

Sherill is a player in the 2028 class that has a ton of upside. At 6 feet tall, she glides up the court effortlessly and has the footwork around the basket like an experienced post. If you play her too tight she blows by you, and if you sag off she makes you pay knocking down the long ball. Defensively, she doesn't give up on plays and blocks shots without fouling. Comets Boone has a good one here, and she'll continue to develop in one of the more consistent programs in the state. She'll be looking to have a big summer heading into her junior season. Watch her video
