District 74 tournament action delivered an exciting night of basketball as Kent City and Ravenna punched their tickets to Friday's championship game. Kent City earned a hard-fought win over North Muskegon, while Ravenna battled past Western Michigan Christian to keep its postseason run alive. There were standout performances on both sides throughout the night, with several players stepping up and making a strong impact on the game. Here's a look at some of the players who made their mark in District 74 action.

Natalie, a junior forward for Ravenna, delivered a strong all-around performance and played a major role in helping her team advance. She brought a physical, attacking style to the floor, using her strength to battle inside while also showing the ability to step out and score from the perimeter. Natalie filled up the stat sheet and led the way offensively with 19 points, consistently finding ways to put pressure on the defense. Her energy and toughness were key factors in Ravenna securing the win and moving on to Friday's District championship game.

Abby, a sophomore post player for Ravenna, made a strong impact inside the lane with her physical play and awareness around the basket. She battled hard on the boards, pulling down key rebounds and turning a few of them into second-chance points with quick put-backs. Abby also did a great job establishing position, sealing her defender to create space and give her teammates a reliable target in the paint. If Ravenna hopes to capture a district championship on Friday, they'll be counting on another big effort from Abby in the post.

Kenzy, a junior guard for Kent City, turned in an impressive performance in the district semifinals, making plays in a variety of ways. She attacked the basket with confidence, getting into the lane and finishing strong, while also knocking down a couple shots from beyond the arc. Kenzy was active on the glass at both ends, tracking down rebounds and helping her team gain extra possessions. Defensively, she even added a pair of blocks, showing her effort and versatility. Kent City will be counting on another well-rounded effort from her as they look to bring home another wooden mitten on Friday night.

Ellie, a junior point guard for Kent City, set the tone right from the start and kept the momentum going throughout the night. She scored off the opening tip and stayed aggressive offensively, attacking the basket and getting to the free throw line where she converted 8 of her 9 attempts. Ellie also did a great job running the offense, creating opportunities for her teammates and finishing the game with four assists. Her leadership and playmaking will be crucial again Friday as Kent City looks to secure another wooden mitten.

Laynee, a senior guard for Kent City, fought through foul trouble but still managed to make a strong impact in her team's semifinal victory. The athletic guard brings great speed to the floor and is known for her ability to lock down opponents on the defensive end. Even with limited time at points in the game, she contributed offensively by knocking down a pair of shots from beyond the three-point line. Her energy and defensive presence will be just as important on Friday, as Kent City looks for another strong effort from her in their pursuit of a District championship.

Madie, a sophomore guard for Western Michigan Christian, showed why she's considered one of the team's most dynamic young players. The athletic and highly skilled guard displayed impressive ball-handling and strong court vision, creating opportunities for both herself and her teammates. Even in a tough loss that ended her team's season, Madie played with relentless effort and determination, finishing as the game's leading scorer with 19 points while also contributing solid work on the boards. Her performance kept her team within reach throughout the night. With her talent and work ethic, it will be exciting to watch her continue to develop, especially when she hits the AAU circuit this spring and summer.

Delaney, a junior guard for North Muskegon, worked hard to produce offense for her team despite drawing constant defensive attention. She was face-guarded for much of the game but still managed to lead her team in scoring with 11 points in the loss to Kent City. Delaney showed excellent control of the ball and creativity when attacking the basket, finding ways to finish in traffic and earn trips to the free throw line. She also made an impact on the glass, finishing just one rebound shy of recording a double-double in a determined all-around effort.
