Mariah, a senior guard for Muskegon, showed why she's one of the most dynamic players on the floor. Using her blazing quickness and impressive leaping ability, she constantly pressured the defense and created scoring chances throughout the game. Mariah finished with 19 points and six rebounds, attacking the basket and displaying a variety of crafty finishes in traffic. In the district finals matchup against Rockford, she repeatedly took control when her team needed it most, playing with the determination of someone unwilling to see her high school career come to an end. Performances like that are exactly why she has earned recognition as a Miss Basketball candidate.
