[player_tooltip player_id='1415877' first='Lauren' last='Ortwerth'] (Cor Jesu) & [player_tooltip player_id='554959' first='Evelyn' last='Shane'] (Ursuline): Class 6, District 1 at Cor Jesu, 6 p.m.

These 6'0" 2026 forwards are the driving forces behind their team's success. Both are headed to Division I schools next year with Orthwerth playing volleyball at Lindenwood and Shane headed to Saint Louis U. to play basketball. Both get things done in a different way. Orthwerth is a power forward who uses her strength to muscle her way around the basket. She is averaging 19 points and nearly 10 rebounds while shooting 58 percent from the field. Shane is a high-motor athlete who plays the game at full speed every minute she's on the floor. She is averaging 16 points and five rebounds while blocking a team-high 43 shots. The two teams met in December when Cor Jesu scored a 43-40 victory at the Visitation Christmas Tournament.

[player_tooltip player_id='750683' first='Jordyn' last='Haywood'] (MICDS) vs. [player_tooltip player_id='1279155' first='Addison' last='Odom'] (Whitfield)

Class 5, District 3 at MICDS, 7 pm

This matchup features two of the top young prospects in the state. The 6'1" 2028 Haywood is one of the top sophomores in the country while the 5'6" 2029 Odom leads a tremendous freshman group at Whitfield. Haywood is an athletic three-level scorer who is averaging 25 points and 10 rebounds a game while playing excellent defense. Odom is a physical point guard who is an excellent two-way performer. She averages 14 points, three assists and an impressive five steals a game. What's really good about Odom is that she usually guards the opposing team's best player, which mean you can probably see these two matched up against each other tonight.

[player_tooltip player_id='409880' first='Kennedy' last='Stowers'] and [player_tooltip player_id='493462' first='Kyrii' last='Franklin'] (Lutheran St Charles) vs. [player_tooltip player_id='351820' first='Moriyah' last='Douglass'] and [player_tooltip player_id='1054097' first='Daylin' last='Douglas'] (John Burroughs)

Class 6, District 3 at Incarnate Word, 7 pm

When we did a feature on some of the top Ms. Inside-Ms. Outside combinations around the state, these two tandems from St. Louis were listed. There is plenty of talent and Division I level ability in this small group of players. Also, Stowers, Franklin and Douglass were summer teammates for Phee Elite's excellent team for multiple grassroots seasons.

The 6'2" Stowers and 5'7" Franklin have been four-year varsity starters and big contributors in a state championship and another Final Four appearance. Stowers is currently averaging 14 points and seven rebounds a game while Franklin averages 14 points, four rebounds and three assists a game.

The Douglass-Douglas combination (not related) emerged as an excellent combination in the one year that they will play together with Moriyah being a 2026 and Daylin being a 2029. The 6'4" Douglass is long and athletic and she impacts play at both ends of the court. She is averaging 17 points, 11 rebounds and four blocks a game. The 5'10" Douglas has enjoyed an impressive debut season as one of the top 2029s in the state. She is currently averaging 15 points, five rebounds and three steals while shooting 45 percent from 3-point range.

[player_tooltip player_id='849017' first='Carsyn' last='Hagood'] (Doniphan) vs [player_tooltip player_id='765401' first='Abygail' last='Amberger'] (Perryville)

Class 4, District 2 at Fredericktown, 6 pm

These two talented 2027 prospects are two of the top players in the Southern part of the state. Doniphan is loaded once again and trying to make another state championship run, which makes them the favorites tonight. However, watching these two youngsters play is worth the price of admission. Hagood is a 5'9" guard who averages more than 20 points a game. She is a tough cover because of her 3-point shooting range along with the ability to score inside and draw fouls to get the free throw line. Amberger is a 5'11" lefty matchup problem who can stretch the floor from 3-point range and drive it well from the wing.

[player_tooltip player_id='970743' first='Jazlyn' last='Rhodes'] (St Teresa's) vs [player_tooltip player_id='351817' first='Sophie' last='Terry'] (Paymore-Peculiar)

Class 6, District 6 at St Teresa's Academy, 6:30 pm

This game features two of the top prospects in the Kansas City area. Terry is a 6'1" 2026 guard who is headed to xx next season. She is a versatile talent who can play anywhere on the court. She usually plays the point guard and facilitator role as well as the primary scorer for her team. She averages 15 points and seven rebounds a game, which are team highs. The 5'9" 2027 Rhodes is a talented point guard who led STA to a berth in the Class 5 state championship game last season. The talented lefty has the talent to impact the game at both ends of the court. She uses her quickness to slash into the lane on penetrating drives and she is also a ball hawk on defense with good instincts and anticipation. She is also a Division I prospect with multiple scholarship offers.
