In this article, we take a closer look at some of the under-the-radar players who rose to the occasion in the biggest moments. Several championship games came down to the final minutes, where every possession carried weight. In those moments, these players showed poise beyond their years and experience and delivered under pressure.

[player_tooltip player_id='1044102' first='Rilee' last='Kargbo'] delivered in key moments in the championship game. Kargbo was active on the boards, played solid defense in the paint, and got in on the scoring while in there. She was solid on her defensive assignments, and offensively hit some key baskets as the game was going back and forth. As a junior, Kargbo has positioned herself as a key frontcourt piece heading into next season. With her physicality, consistency, and ability to produce in high-pressure moments, she projects to take on an even larger role moving forward.

[player_tooltip player_id='1806285' first='Amauri' last='Hall'] didn't make the game winner, but you can bet she had her hand on the ball during the game-winning sequence of plays. Throughout the game, the young guard made play after play, and most won't show up on the stat sheet. Her ability to handle the ball and play in sync with her teammates was very impressive. Defensively, Hall was up against some taller and more physical guards, but went toe-to-toe throughout the championship game. Her biggest asset is her speed, quickness, and lateral movements. She used angles to keep the defenders honest and, down the stretch, strong dribbling skills to protect the ball. Hall has been in big games before, and when her fellow senior teammate, Francis, went down, Hall was "next man up". A telling stat that shows Hall's impact in the game - her team was plus 8 when she was on the floor.

Keviana Williams provided valuable minutes off the bench and made the most of her opportunities in the pressure-cooker championship game. The young prospect finished with 4 points on an efficient 2-of-3 shooting while contributing 2 rebounds, an assist, and a block in just over 20 minutes of action. Williams brought energy and composure when she entered the game, helping Booker T. Washington maintain its rhythm during key stretches. Her ability to play within the flow of the offense and make timely contributions reflected the type of poise and readiness she brought to the championship game. Williams played over 20 minutes, and Booker was a plus-3 when she was on the court.

[player_tooltip player_id='221605' first='Alyssa' last='Hill'] came into the Finals averaging just over three points per game. Hill was a key on last year's 2025 Championship game, and she was up to the task again in this year's 2A Championship contest. Hill has a knack for shooting threes straight through a team's heart. In the championship game, she connected on 2 long range trhe3 point shots. Hill is long and can rebound from the guard position. She is slotted to be a major player on next year's squad, and it's safe to say she will be shooting thta three ball.

Karla Stiven quietly delivered a very impactful performance on the state's biggest stage. The under-the-radar power forward was the most impactful X-Factor of the tournament. For starters, Stiven played almost the entire game (30:14) and had the largest plus - misnus statistic of the game (plus 8). The senior forward battled the tall front court for Winterhaven - finished with 5 rebounds and 4 points, but Stiven's defense, positioning, rebounding, energy, and decision-making were on point and had a huge impact on the game's outcome.

K J Sarpe left it all on the floor, including pieces of her two front teeth The senior point guard spent close to 25 minutes on the court, and the other 7 minutes were spent "looking for her teeth and tending to a cut lip". In addition to the toughness, Sharpe was also instrumental on the floor- 11 points and 6 assists against Bartram's cardiac kids. Sharpe handled the rock, broke the press, and got her team into their offensive sets. The senior guard has been on the big stage before, and her poise under pressure showed it.

[player_tooltip player_id='738973' first='Aubry' last='Davis'] was the glue for Bartam and she left her mark all over the semifinal game - points, rebounds, hustle plays, and jump balls. Davis had her hands in everything. Coming into the game, Donohue, Brenneman, and Campos had been key pieces in Bartram's run past a No. 1, No. 2, and No. 3 seed to reach the Final Four. Davis proved she belonged right alongside that group, emerging as another major factor in the Bears' postseason success and a big reason fans saw them on that stage. Davis posted a double-double against Bayside with 12 points and 11 rebounds from the guard position. Her ability to stay in front of defenders, cut off driving lanes, and clog up passing lanes was on display. Her play was inspiring, productive, and embodied the Cinderella season of the bears -a reason they walked off the floor with their heads held high.
