Best Overall Team

Woodinville Falcons

Woodinville delivered the most complete performance of the round with a 63-53 win over Tahoma. The Falcons shot over 40 percent from the field and generated consistent offense across multiple players while forcing 12 turnovers. Their ability to convert efficiently while protecting the ball helped them control the game from start to finish.

Woodinville also found ways to create separation in the second half, shooting nearly 48 percent after halftime. When a team can increase offensive efficiency as the game progresses, it shows strong adjustments and composure. That type of performance stands out early in a state tournament.

Most Dominant Victory

Sumner def. Auburn 51-40

Sumner produced the most dominant win of the day with an 11-point victory over Auburn. The Spartans controlled the rebounding battle 39-28 and limited Auburn to just one free throw made in the entire game. Defensive stops and second-chance opportunities helped Sumner create consistent momentum.

While the score remained competitive early, Sumner's defensive pressure in the second half limited Auburn to just five points in the fourth quarter. When a team closes a game that way in the Tacoma Dome, it sends a message to the rest of the bracket.

Biggest Surprise

Kennedy Catholic def. Chiawana 52-49

Kennedy Catholic held off Chiawana in one of the tightest games of the round. The Lancers executed late and converted 14 of 16 free throws, which ultimately proved to be the difference in a three-point game.

The game featured several lead changes and remained within reach throughout the fourth quarter. Kennedy Catholic's ability to stay poised and execute at the line allowed them to secure one of the most dramatic wins of the day.

Impact Players from the Round

Hansen produced one of the biggest scoring performances of the day with 24 points for Auburn. She shot 10-of-25 from the field and knocked down four three-pointers while consistently creating offense for the Trojans. Even in defeat, Hansen's ability to stretch the defense kept Auburn competitive throughout the game.

Jackson was the anchor of Sumner's offense with 16 points and nine rebounds. She shot 6-of-10 from the floor and consistently finished inside the paint. Her interior presence helped Sumner control the rebounding battle and maintain offensive balance.

Wilkerson led Woodinville with 18 points in the Falcons' victory over Tahoma. She attacked the rim and converted key free throws while helping Woodinville maintain offensive rhythm. Her scoring helped the Falcons build separation during key stretches of the game.

Tupua delivered one of the most complete performances of the round with 21 points and nine rebounds in Lake Stevens' win over Bothell. She controlled the tempo offensively and consistently created scoring opportunities inside the paint. Her all-around production helped the Vikings secure a seven-point win.

Lipkin delivered the top scoring performance in the Lake Stevens–Bothell matchup with 26 points. She hit five three-pointers and shot 8-of-17 overall while carrying much of Bothell's offensive load. Her perimeter shooting kept the Cougars within reach throughout the game.
