The opening games at Brawl at the Palms offered a picture of Florida's next wave of talent, featuring players from multiple age groups who made a strong impression. While execution wasn't always perfect—a natural part of player development—the flashes of athleticism, skill, competitiveness, and basketball IQ were front and center. Several prospects separated themselves through their energy to set the tone. There wasn't much shooting from the perimeter, but these players attacked off the dribble and flourished in the open court, and that is where the majority of the players excelled. In this article, we highlight the prospects of setting the tone for the game and for a talented 15U division.

[player_tooltip player_id='1860719' first='Armani' last='McFadden'] was one of the first players to grab attention upon entering the gym. The sixth-grader showcased impressive length, timing, and versatility, altering shots around the basket while also cleaning the glass and initiating the break herself. McFadden's athleticism and explosiveness stood out. Her ability to rebound, push the ball in transition, and find teammates with accurate passes highlighted a skill set that is advanced for her age. McFadden's combination of size, instincts, and court vision makes her an elite prospect with major upside

[player_tooltip player_id='1860728' first='Kimora' last='Marseille'] was one of the most active players on the basketball court. Few players influenced both ends of the floor like Marseille. Her athleticism immediately stood out as she jumped passing lanes, generated steals, and turned defensive stops into coast-to-coast fastbreaks. Offensively, she attacked the rim aggressively, finished plays in traffic, and showcased a lot of creativity- euro steps and floaters at the rim. Marseille also showed very good court vision and flashed a strong passing ability. Her activity level, energy, and ability to make plays made her one of the day's true tone setters.

[player_tooltip player_id='1310596' first='Lilah' last='Boltz'] came to play, and from the start of the game, she put pressure on the defense by attacking the basket and finishing through contact. Boltz displayed toughness and determination throughout the game, drawing fouls and converting difficult finishes at the rim. When Boltz didn't get the bucket, she got to the line and knocked down free throws. Despite not being the biggest player on the floor, she was definitely one of the toughest. Her competitive nature and ability to create scoring opportunities made her one of the most effective tone-setters for the day.

[player_tooltip player_id='1855876' first='Corbi' last='Grinch'] brought poise and energy to the point guard position. She handled the basketball with confidence and was constantly on the attack. Grinch changed directions effectively and that was one of her most impressive skills. her change of direction and speed kept the defense honest and off balance. Grinch's ability to push tempo, attack off the dribble, and make sound decisions when things are moving fast was impressive as well. Her combination of court vision and playmaking ability allowed her to make impactful plays and walk out as one of the top performers on day one of the tournament.

[player_tooltip player_id='1857129' first='Kenzie' last='Agee'] made her presence felt throughout the evening. Agee consistently battled and made a lot of tough plays on the inside. She tracked rebounds and loose balls all game and showed she could score on the inside. Agee also got to the line a few times. Her rebounding, physicality, and willingness to mix it up made her a productive contributor on the floor. Agee set the tone on the inside and was one of the top power forwards of the day.
