The 15U division at Wellington will feature no shortage of talent, but it also presents a major opportunity for a new group of players to elevate their profiles. Many of these athletes are rising freshmen and sophomores who are beginning to transition from promising prospects into players capable of leading programs and attracting increased attention from coaches and evaluators. Some have already shown flashes of their potential, while others are on the verge of stepping into larger roles and making a name for themselves on a bigger stage.

Few players bring the combination of size, athleticism, and upside that [player_tooltip player_id='1231572' first='Sha'niya' last='Cooper'] possesses. The versatile forward impacts games with her ability to score around the basket, protect the rim, and run the floor in transition. Cooper has very good shot blocking abilities. Her offensive game is still developing. As she gains confidence, she could become one of the more impactful frontcourt players in the 15U division. Wellington provides another opportunity for Cooper to showcase her growth on both ends of the floor.

[player_tooltip player_id='1246266' first='Tonya' last='Young'] showcased a strong all-around interior game over in Gainesville. She did a good job of attacking the basket and finishing through traffic while also displaying a nice touch in the mid-range. She ran the floor very well creating scoring opportunities in the transition game. Young rebounded aggressively on both ends of the court and was productive around the basket, converting on second- chance opportunities. One of the most impressive aspects of her performance was her instincts. She recognized opportunities and immediately advanced the ball up the floor to create easy scoring opportunities for her team. Young demonstrated strong positioning, confidence, and a natural feel for the game. She will be one to watch at the Brawl at the Palms.

[player_tooltip player_id='1851765' first='Olivia' last='Beyer'] is a tough, high-IQ guard whose understanding of the game is very impressive for a young lawyer who has never set foot on a high school court. She consistently shows up on both ends of the floor. She has an impressive ability to see plays develop before they happen. Beyer applies pressure to opponents, plaa through physical contact and competes possession after possession. She is capable of scoring on the break, attacking open space, and knocking down mid-range opportunities when defenses collapse. Beyer combines a high basketball IQ with a lot of grit on the floor.

[player_tooltip player_id='987749' first='Kenza' last='Soumahoro'] enters Wellington as one of the more skilled and versatile forwards in her age group. The 5-foot-10 forward thrives in the mid-post where her footwork, balance, and touch around the basket consistently create scoring opportunities. The young power forward is equally comfortable finishing with either hand, rebounds effectively, and runs the floor well in transition. Her basketball IQ stands out, allowing her to make smart reads and take advantage of mismatches. With a reliable mid-range game and expanding perimeter game, she presents matchup problems offensively while also possessing the versatility to defend multiple positions. Her all-around skill set should make her a player to watch throughout the event.

[player_tooltip player_id='750603' first='Judah' last='Smith'] continues to impress with her poise, decision-making, and maturity as a young guard. She excels at attacking the lane under control. Defensively, Smith plays with discipline and awareness, consistently making the correct reads and positioning herself well on the defensive event. He's very good at playing in the passing lane and getting steals.. Her ability to impact both ends without forcing the action speaks to her feel for the game. As Wellington approaches, Smith's combination of competitiveness, basketball IQ, and steady play should allow her to continue emerging as a reliable backcourt star.

[player_tooltip player_id='1312287' first='Freda' last='Stamper'] stood out a few weeks ago and showed a lot of polish for a freshman. Bility to attack the rim going left or right and knocking down the mirror range perimeter shot as well as the three pointer, put her in a unique class. Defensively she does a good job of using her length to disrupt opponents in the lane and has the ability to block shots and create turnovers. She is an aggressive rebounder, who also runs the flow extremely well place physical play, and it's not afraid of contact and competes hard for every possession. Her toughness, basketball IQ and consistent effort make her a valuable two-way player and a true competitor on the floor.
