Day 1-First 5-Heart Of Texas

Yes, she's <strong>"long and athletic," </strong>and she's 75 inches tall, but her intangibles, including doing things instinctively, just blew me away. She scored off the dribble, faced the basket, and scored. She also elevated over defenders. Yet, watching her come from out of nowhere to rebound and block shots is special. Big guards who can shoot have always been a hot commodity, but seeing her score off the dribble as well as size up smaller guards to score down low. Her "on the ball" pressure baseline-to-baseline has gotten better, and so has her court vision in the set as well as in transition. Her confidence and understanding that she's on the verge of being able to control games from either end is showing; she's strong, to go with long, and athletic, and she can be overpowering inside the paint, to score or rebound, which she does on both ends.
