Tenley Levin holds onto the #1 spot moving into this Summer because of her mixture of size, skill, and smarts. Levin, the 6'0 CG, made her mark as a Freshman last season within the 4A Class throughout the state making big plays each evening she laced up her kicks. She was someone that her team could run their offensive through while also being an elite defender near the bucket against other lengthy opponents. Levin has followed up that season by putting together a nice Spring with her Missouri Phenom EYBL team. If she can keep this up over her career and she can continue to grow within her game, she should hold onto this #1 spot from start to finish for the 2029 Class but we will have to see how that plays out over-time. Until then, I'm sure she is worried about the task at hand at this moment in time and that task is to keep balling and to keep being impactful whenever she competes.

Securing the #2 spot once again is Emily Tanny of Walhert Catholic. Tanny made the jump from #10 to #2 in our last Update because of what she did on the Varsity floor to end the year. She wasn't just good, she was great. She made every big play for Wahlert Catholic, while staying as basically a 6'1 PG/SG. That's impressive, no matter how you put it from someone out of the 2029 Class at this time. Looking towards the future and this is one of the only other players out of this Class that I think could make a run at the #1 spot over time. It's not going to be easy but it's possible with her skill level, her natural size at over 6'0, and with the support she has around her. She comes from a family of previous college ballers so I wouldn't be shocked if that was the case with Tanny as well.

Grace McCann is somewhat a mystery to the scouting world in a sense. McCann isn't the type to be about flash, publicity, or anything like that. She just wants to ball and she is really skilled for her size/position. Plain and simple. She is really low-key. She has been efficient ever since I've started evaluating her the last couple of years on the hardwood, on and off the ball, and she is only getting better with experience. This is someone that is going to be a vital young piece to her team's success this Winter when they have a real shot at the 5A State Title. If she worries about the small things she can be the best on the floor on any given night with the type of confidence she competes with. As long as her coaches continue to put her in favorable situations, she should be able to make the most of them. Now we just have to see where she takes it from here moving into July.

The future possibilities and potential of Adrienne Sears is still to be seen and that's noteworthy when you consider that she saw A LOT of time last Winter at the powerhouse that is Dowling Catholic. Sears isn't just good at scoring and defending, she is someone that you can plug in anywhere at the Guard position as a coach and she is going to give it her all, usually producing some impressive results throughout. Sears will have more of a central role this Winter for DC for her Sophomore season. She will officially be apart of their, "three headed monster", and I can't wait to see how she does with that responsibility because this is someone who can GO.

Rounding out our Top Five is Emma Ryder of Ottumwa High School and Mokan EYBL. Ryder is the #1 rated C/PF out of this Class and for good reasons. Last Winter as a Freshman she was dominant for her team, usually while being double or triple teamed near the post. She worked hard with her back to the basket whenever she could and she also demonstrated that she can pass and shoot the rock from distance at a solid clip as well. Ryder has put together an impressive Spring AAU season moving into the middle of Summer. She even had one contest where she didn't let in a single point the entire game with her presence in the middle. If that's how she is moving as we get into school ball this Fall, watch out because she is going to be problem for most others to deal with before heading off to college.
