The tallest and most powerful prospect that this 2030 Class has to offer is Gentry Thummel of Van Meter High School. Thummel will walk into her Freshman year above 6'2 with the muscle mass to pair along with it. At her height she is someone that happens to be extremely coordinated, she possesses a soft touch on the ball with her back to the basket or from 15FT away, she can spread the floor and hit shots off the catch from three point lane, and she is a defender that you definitely have to know about if you are playing against her team. She knows to keep an eye on help side and her height can somewhat be deceiving when you get into the middle of the lane. I expect this to be someone that moves around the Top Five for the 2030 Class throughout her career. She is going to put up some impressive numbers this Winter and that will be only the tip of the iceberg.

Really excited to see what Delaney Joens can put together over the next four years. Joens is a 6'1 SF, that is quick and athletic enough to move around the perimeter within her team's offense or defense. She does well with her back to the basket out of the post but she does possess some guard-like abilities, that she can pull out in the blink of an eye. When we have seen her over the last couple of seasons, she has been dominant near the bucket. I'd assume we will see Joens competing on the Varsity level this Winter as a Freshman but we are still a few months away from all of that. She will have to earn it in practice and that is something that is super do-able from a prospect of this nature. She just needs to come into the season ready-to-roll.

North Linn High School is going to be a competitor within their Class from a State-wide perspective this Winter because they are bringing in prospects like Audra Meyer. Meyer is going to be a cheat code on the 1A/2A floor. She stands at 6'0, she is very physical near the basket - so much so that you could say she welcomes contact, she is a force while rebounding on both sides of the ball, and she can also spread the floor as she attacks from the three point line. We are going to hear this name a lot over the next four seasons so trap in because it's going to be a fun ride.

We have highlighted Caylee Dickey a few times this Spring and for good reason. Dickey is a 5'10/5'11 SG/CG, that can also move into the Post position a majority of the time because of her natural size. When she gets onto the high school floor this Winter, I could see her moving around between the 2, 3, and 4 positions - depending what is being asked out of her. She is well rounded for her age and position, she has better than average length, and she is competitor. I won't be shocked if this is someone we gets some college interest early on in her high school career. She already checks off a lot of boxes that coaching staffs would have and she is truly just starting off her Basketball career in a sense, so she is only going to get better.

The PCM Mustangs will be a State contender this Winter from the looks of it. They will lose their main producer due to graduation but they return a good amount of their starters from last season when they went 22-2 and they will add a sharp shooter with size in Selah Graber. Graber just continues to get taller and taller every time we see her. This is someone that I could consider more of an off-the-ball type prospect. She has shown over the last year that she can spread the floor with her shooting ability in the corners or from the wings. Offensively, she can also score at the hoop in a few different ways because of her size at 5'11. PCM is going to have some top dogs returning so it won't be immediate but Graber has the chance to be the face of this program, sooner rather than later. She just has to play her game and go from there.

I'm told that CCA is bringing in an impressive Freshman Class this upcoming Winter season. Someone out of this Class, that should be able to make some noise coming up is Charley Carlson at the Forward position. CCA is going to need some height moving forward so Carlson is a nice addition. This is a multi-sport prospect with athletic ability and a smart head on her shoulders. She doesn't seem to be the type to trick you or beat you by being flashy. Instead, she uses her smarts and keeps it simple. Which is ultimately the best recipe for success in the very end. If this CCA Freshman Class can come in with some confidence and their handful of returners do their jobs, then they should be just fine.
