This article takes a look at some of the players from Florida who crossed the county line and delivered standout performances at the Camden Shootout. With talented teams making the trip from across the Sunshine State, there was no shortage of players who made an impact. We were in the gym throughout the event, and here are some of the Florida standouts who caught our attention.

[player_tooltip player_id='1118790' first='Kamya' last='Leroy'] was very impressive at the Wildcat Shoot-out and showcased the following skill sets. At 5'10, Leroy creates mismatches at the guard position and has the bounce to elevate over smaller defenders. She is a very active and athletic player who has the ability to maneuver through the defense and score with creative shot-making. Leroy can shoot the three-ball but is more comfortable shooting the midrange and getting to the rim. Defensively, Leroy gets after it and sets the tone with her tough play on the ball and her ability to play the passing lanes. She creates steals and turns the turnovers into fastbreak points as a facilitator and as a finisher. Leroy crossed the border and got after it. College coaches noticed, and the lengthy guard received an offer and tons of interest.

[player_tooltip player_id='221598' first='Trinity' last='Berry'] was another standout at the Wildcat Shootout, constantly attacking the rim and getting to the line. The 2027 guard averaged nearly 20 per game due to her versatility and keen understanding of scoring the ball. Berry also complimented the ball IQ with her perimeter shooting and ability to score on the inside of the paint. Berry has really modified her game this summer with half of her scores coming on the inside. She can still drain it from downtown, but she has made a conscious effort to score inside and has been successful at it all summer long.

[player_tooltip player_id='750603' first='Judah' last='Smith'] embraced the leadership role at the Wildcat Shootout and had all of the skills on display: Improved ball handling, deep range three-point shooting, attacking the rim, dishing the ball on pick and rolls, and overall good decision-making from the point guard position. Smith was solid on the defensive end and was key in forcing turnovers and creating fast break opportunities.

[player_tooltip player_id='1136118' first='Reah' last='Saunders'] has finally made it to High School after making the state playoffs two consecutive years as a middle schooler. She was really quick with the ball, and the defense was geared to stop her as the point guard. Saunders possesses great speed, very good handles, and great point guard skills. She keeps her teammates involved and knows when to attack the rim, shoot the jumper, or dish to a teammate. Saunders continues to attack the rim and can draw fouls and score in the middle. She played like a state championship point guard, and as the new teammates cement their roles, there are no worries at the point guard position. Saunders has that position on lock.

[player_tooltip player_id='843385' first='Tasandra' last='Williams'] hit some big shots on Day three of the Wildcat Shootout, showing that she is a 2027 guard to contend with. Williams displayed quickness, toughness, and the ability to score from all three levels. Williams also handles the ball and at the shootout, did a good job of alternating at the one and two positions. Williams held her own, competing against a lot of talented guards over the 3-day period.

[player_tooltip player_id='1875263' first='Jasmine' last='Home'] was one of the most impressive-looking athletes in the building, and she led her team for three days. Despite being outmanned in most of the games, Home provided leadership to her teammates vocally and by example. The power forward played hard all game long and for the entire tournament. Offensively, she scored primarily around the goal as her overall offensive game continues to develop, so will her shooting range. On defense, Home held it down in the paint and forced offenses to respect the paint. The power forward played well against physicality and showed she was one of the top power forwards in the building, especially on the defensive end. Home rebounded well, played great defense ands was respectable on the offensive end.
