JSE Team Camp: Sleeper Prospects

The JSE Team Camp was filled with talent, but some of the most exciting performances came from the players who may not have entered the gym with the biggest names—yet left with people talking.   These were the sleeper prospects.   The players who competed with a chip on their shoulder. The ones who made hustle plays, defended with pride, scored when opportunities opened and proved they belonged on the same floor with some of the top names in the gym.   Throughout the event, several under-the-radar players used the stage to raise their stock. Some stood out with their scoring ability, knocking down shots from the perimeter, attacking the rim and making defenses pay when given space. Others made their mark by controlling the tempo, moving the ball and creating opportunities for teammates.   The defensive energy was just as impressive. These sleeper prospects were active in passing lanes, applied pressure on the ball and turned steals into transition chances. They were not afraid to guard, take contact or do the dirty work that helps teams win games.   In the frontcourt, several players made noise with toughness around the rim. They rebounded on both ends, finished through traffic and challenged shots defensively. Their effort may not always show up in a highlight clip, but it showed up in winning possessions.   What made this group special was their hunger.   They played like players trying to earn respect, not wait for it. Every possession mattered. Every loose ball was chased. Every defensive stop was celebrated. They brought energy, toughness and confidence to the floor, and that type of mindset is what separates real prospects from the crowd.   The JSE Team Camp gave these players a chance to be seen, and they took full advantage of it. They showed flashes of skill, growth and competitiveness that make them worth tracking moving forward.   Some names are already known. Others are just starting to build buzz.   But after their performances at JSE, these sleeper prospects made one thing clear: they are coming. The 5'7” combo guard played with confidence, pace and a smooth handle that allowed her to control the action with the ball in her hands.   Saucer's ability to break defenders down stood out right away. Her hesitation move into a quick euro step was one of the more impressive flashes of the event, giving her a crafty way to get downhill and create space near the rim. She plays with rhythm, changes speed well and keeps defenders off balance with her handle.   Offensively, Saucer is a tough cover because she is comfortable creating off the bounce. She can attack gaps, shift defenders with her dribble and make plays once she gets into the lane. Her ball skill gives her the ability to operate as a scorer or creator, making her valuable as both a point guard and combo guard.   What makes her game fun to watch is her confidence. Saucer plays with flair, but she also plays with purpose. She understands how to use her handle to set up moves, create angles and put pressure on the defense.   [player_tooltip player_id='1227529' first='Tylah' last='Saucer'] showed at JSE that she is extremely savvy with the ball and has the type of guard skill that catches attention. Her creativity, handle and ability to attack make her a 2027 prospect worth tracking closely.     <h3 class="wp-block-heading">[player_tooltip player_id='946180' first='Shiloh' last='Brokenberry'] | 5'7” Point Guard | Captain Shreve | Class of 2028</h3>   [player_tooltip player_id='946180' first='Shiloh' last='Brokenberry'] showed at the JSE Team Camp why she is one of the top guard prospects in Louisiana's 2028 class. The 5'7” Captain Shreve point guard brought skill, confidence and shot-making ability to the floor, making her a constant threat every time she touched the ball.   Brokenberry has a smooth offensive game with the ability to score both inside and outside. She can attack off the bounce, get into the lane and create opportunities near the rim, but what really stood out was her ability to shoot the basketball. Her quick release makes it difficult for defenders to close out in time, and when she gets clean looks, she can shoot the lights out.   Her ball-handling also gives her another layer as a playmaker. Brokenberry plays with control, understands how to create space and has the skill set to keep defenders off balance. She can operate as a scorer, but she also has the tools to run the offense and make plays for others.   What makes her such an exciting prospect is her upside. She is already skilled, polished and confident, but her game continues to grow. As she continues to develop her leadership, decision-making and overall consistency, Brokenberry has the potential to become one of the breakout names in the state. Her quick release, scoring ability and improving guard play make her a 2028 prospect with major upside and serious stock-rising potential.     <h3 class="wp-block-heading">[player_tooltip player_id='879889' first='Pazile'ra' last='Sanders'] | 5'8” Combo Guard/Small Forward | Zwolle | Class of 2028</h3>   [player_tooltip player_id='879889' first='Pazile'ra' last='Sanders'] turned in a strong performance at the JSE Team Camp, showing why she is one of the tougher and more versatile competitors in Louisiana's 2028 class. The 5'8” Zwolle standout impacted the game on both ends of the floor and proved she can affect winning in a variety of ways.   Sanders showed herself to be an explosive guard who can get to the rim and put pressure on the defense. She attacked with purpose, played downhill and used her athleticism to create scoring opportunities. She also showed her ability to stretch the floor, knocking down shots from the perimeter and giving defenders another problem to account for.   What stood out just as much was her work on the defensive end. Sanders was one of Zwolle's best on-ball defenders, using her toughness, energy and competitiveness to make life difficult for opposing guards. She controls the pace of the game with her presence and competes with the kind of intensity that shows up on every possession.   Her versatility is a major part of what makes her so valuable. Sanders can set up teammates, rebound, finish and defend at a high level, giving her the ability to contribute across the full skill spectrum. She does not just rely on one part of her game—she brings a complete, hard-nosed approach that helps her team in multiple ways.   More than anything, Sanders looked like a high-energy competitor. She played with confidence, toughness and a winning mentality throughout the event, and her JSE showing only reinforced the kind of prospect she is becoming.   [player_tooltip player_id='879889' first='Pazile'ra' last='Sanders'] proved at JSE that she is a two-way playmaker with toughness, explosiveness and real versatility. Her ability to defend, attack the rim and knock down perimeter shots makes her a 2028 prospect whose stock should continue to rise.     <h3 class="wp-block-heading">[player_tooltip player_id='943322' first='Shanna' last='Simien'] | 5'8” Combo Guard | Lafayette Christian | Class of 2027</h3>   [player_tooltip player_id='943322' first='Shanna' last='Simien'] put together a strong showing at the JSE Team Camp, proving why she is one of the more skilled and dependable guards in Louisiana's 2027 class. The 5'8” Lafayette Christian combo guard played with control, confidence and a high basketball IQ that stood out throughout the event.   Simien showed the ability to score at all three levels. She can knock down shots from the perimeter, create looks in the midrange and attack the basket when defenders close out too hard. Her offensive versatility makes her difficult to guard because she does not have to rely on one area of the floor to impact the game.   What separates Simien is her feel as a floor manager. She understands pace, sees the floor well and knows how to deliver the ball on time and on target. She made smart reads, kept the offense organized and consistently put her teammates in positions to be successful.   Simien also plays with maturity. She does not rush possessions or force the action. Instead, she controls the rhythm, makes the right decision and brings steady leadership to the floor. Her ability to score while also creating for others gives her real value as a combo guard.   [player_tooltip player_id='943322' first='Shanna' last='Simien'] brought skill, poise and leadership to the JSE Team Camp. Her three-level scoring ability, passing vision and high basketball IQ make her a 2027 guard who continues to command attention.     <h3 class="wp-block-heading">[player_tooltip player_id='1875351' first='Kenadie' last='Armentor'] | Point Guard | Bell City | Class of 2027</h3>   [player_tooltip player_id='1875351' first='Kenadie' last='Armentor'] showed at the JSE Team Camp that she is a true point guard who understands how to control a game. The Bell City guard played with poise, pace and confidence, consistently making smart decisions with the ball in her hands.   Armentor did a great job keeping the game simple and under control. She did not allow the defense to speed her up, and she showed the ability to change pace, read the floor and create opportunities without forcing the action. Her decision-making stood out as she made the right pass, got teammates involved and kept the offense flowing.   Offensively, Armentor brought balance to her game. She showed she can knock down shots from the perimeter, but she was also effective attacking the rim. Her ability to score both as a shooter and a driver made her difficult to guard because defenders had to respect every part of her game.   She also impacted the game on the boards, rebounding well from the guard position and helping her team gain extra possessions. Defensively, Armentor caused problems with her quickness and anticipation. She beat players to spots, stayed active and made opponents work for everything.   [player_tooltip player_id='1875351' first='Kenadie' last='Armentor'] played with the control and confidence of a true floor general at JSE. Her pace, decision-making, scoring ability, rebounding and defensive activity made her one of the steady 2027 guards who deserves serious attention.
