PGH MI College Tour IV: 17U All-Tournament First Team

Saginaw Valley State University was our fourth and final stop of the 2026 Prep Girls Hoops Circuit College Tour. 13 colleges from D2, NAIA, D3, and JUCO programs were in attendance, allowing prospects to be evaluated and recruited during the event. The platform gave girls an opportunity to demonstrate their value at the next level, and many delivered under the spotlight. In addition to the colleges, Midwest Recruiting Resource was also on site to evaluate the players. There have been notable newcomers and knockout performances by well-known prospects along every stop of the PGH College Tour. More Michigan prospects have been evaluated and promoted by our scouts over the five Michigan PGH tournaments this spring/summer than ever before, which has been a thrill for me to be a part of. I couldn't be happier about the support from our AAU clubs and colleges. The bracket champions of the PGH College Tour IV SVSU:   17U Gold-[program_tooltip program_id='715753' first='Michigan' last='Mystics'] 17U   17U Silver-Southwest Elite   16U-Kia Nurse Elite EYBL   15U Gold-Kia Nurse Elite EYBL   15U Silver-Hype Elite   14U-[program_tooltip program_id='1831436' first='MBA' last='[program_tooltip program_id='952340' first='The' last='House']']   13U-OPS Select   Mystics 17U defeated Kia Nurse Elite EYBL in the 17U Gold Bracket Championship Game 73-52 to finish undefeated on the day. Championship and semifinal game performances are weighted heavily when selecting the All-Tournament First Team. These five prospects were consistently productive for their teams en route to a Championship Game appearance:    I'm not exaggerating when I say that Layla must have hit close to 20 three-pointers across three games. Many of those threes were well beyond the college line, labeled "deep" in my notes, and it felt like every shot was headed for the bottom of the net. Layla was efficient and accurate from different spots all around the arc. It looked like she was doing a shootaway demonstration while the defense stood there starstruck. Layla communicates on the court, points, makes the effort plays, and operates at a higher level as far as basketball IQ. Layla knows where the ball needs to go and is an elite court general. She hit a deep wing three, then swiped the ball away with quick hands to score a soft floater off the glass on the next possession. She dished out dimes for assists, accelerated with a burst down the baseline for a speedy layup, boxed out an opponent to the free throw line, scored full-speed layups in transition, and sprinted back to break up a fast break scoring chance. Layla had an opportunity to play the lead role and delivered a performance that nobody who was in the gym will forget. Layla is the PGH Michigan College Tour IV 17U MVP and an All-Tournament First Team selection.     Cayenne was an effective court general and two-way difference maker for Kia Nurse Elite 17U EYBL throughout the day. Her athleticism, slashing abilities, instincts as a facilitator, and defensive presence were separators on the court. Cayenne swiped the ball away at half court, turned on the jets, and knocked down a smooth pull-up jumper in the paint. She split a gap on a hard drive from the top of the key, created space using long strides on her way to the basket, and finished with a soft left-hand at the rim, maintaining excellent body control. Cayenne demonstrated an explosive first step, which immediately gave her the advantage when attacking off the dribble. She blew by the perimeter defender on a rip drive and scored the layup over the help. She kept slashing to the basket and forced the defense to send her to the free throw line, where she converted an efficient 9 of 11 from the charity stripe in the Championship Game. Her length and fast feet close driving lanes, disrupt passes, and alter shots. Cayenne had a strong showing at the PGH Michigan College Tour IV and has been selected to the All-Tournament First Team.     Dior was aggressive, confident, and impactful for Kia Nurse Elite 17U EYBL throughout the PGH Michigan College Tour IV. Her performance in the Championship Game made a lasting impression. She started with a hard-nosed drive to the basket for a strong and-one inside hand finish against a forward. Dior caught a pass and accelerated down the baseline with a burst to score off two feet before the help side defender could arrive. She gave the team a spark with her perimeter shooting all day and drilled a deep corner three. Dior scored a catch and finish in transition, drove straight through a defender's chest for a layup, ripped away a defensive rebound with aggression, knocked down a smooth mid-range jumper, and earned a trip to the free throw line after a determined drive to the basket. Dior used a shifty crossover move to blow by a defender for a bucket and converted shots well in contested situations. She had a great day and is an All-Tournament First Team selection.     Macy is back to full strength, and she reminded everybody why she's one of Michigan's top guard prospects. Length, athleticism, dual-threat scoring abilities as a slasher and perimeter threat, Macy checks the boxes. She delivered a standout day for Mystics 17U on their path to an undefeated record and PGH Michigan College Tour IV Gold Bracket Championship. Macy made layups look effortless. She ripped hard from the perimeter, changed hands in the lane, made smooth transfers, and finished comfortably with both hands at the rim. She converted multiple crafty finishes with her inside hand and added a tough left-handed bucket against a long defender in the paint. Macy used a jab step to freeze her defender, buried the corner three, added another triple from the corner, swished a three up top, and added a moonshot from the wing. She separated herself on the court and earned All-Tournament First Team recognition.     Emersen had a huge two days for Regina at BCAM, and she delivered a knockout punch at the PGH Michigan College Tour IV for Mystics 17U. Her performance helped the team win the Championship and resulted in an offer from Davenport University. Emersen applied relentless pressure on opposing guards, generated steals, and capitalized by scoring layups with her right and left. One highlight play happened when she swiped the ball away up top on the defensive end, pushed it with her left all the way to the rim, barrelled through a defender with a strong shoulder, then finished with a strong and-one layup off the glass. Emersen made defenses pay for giving her space by knocking down many threes from beyond the college line. She penetrated off the dribble and effectively distributed crisp passes to open teammates for assists. Emersen chased down offensive rebounds and was a two-way playmaker throughout the day.
