Danyle Bowers | Prep Girls Hoops Scout
Macy, a guard for Frankenmuth, brings length, athleticism, and versatility every time she steps on the floor. Her ability to elevate and block shots from the perimeter showcases her athleticism and makes her a unique matchup problem. Defensively, she anticipates plays extremely well, reading passing lanes and reacting quickly to create disruptions. On the offensive end, Macy can stretch the floor by knocking down the three, but she’s just as effective attacking the rim and finishing strong. With her combination of size, instincts, and skill, she continues to make a big impact on both ends of the court.

Macy earned a top-three ranking in the state and our number one shooting guard spot with her exceptional performances leading up to the high school season. Her first varsity game proved why she is a special prospect for the Eagles. My favorite moment from her opening game was when Macy pursued an offensive rebound in the corner, dribbled up the wing, then accelerated hard downhill with her dribble and elevated into contact to score a majestic and-one layup with her left hand. She used her length to cause steals, scored layups off the dribble, and buried a clutch corner triple to keep her team close in the fourth quarter. Macy led the Eagles with 13 points and will be a marquee prospect to watch at Frankenmuth.

Macy will be more than a difference-maker for Frankenmuth this winter; she has the potential to earn an All-League nomination as a freshman. Macy competed against seniors on a top travel circuit and continued to shine at many events during the summer. Macy has length, quickness, and lights-out perimeter shooting skills that make her a weapon on the offensive end. She pushes the tempo with her dribble, finishes around the basket, and shifts the defense with her passes. Frankenmuth lost a top guard from the 2024 class, but added the top shooting guard in the 2028 class. They are still the favorites to win the TVC Red until proven otherwise.

Macy uses her athleticism and length to block shots and disrupt opposing ball handlers. She turns on the jets to score transition layups and will be an immediate go-to player for Frankenmuth this winter. Macy has earned her place as the top shooting guard in this class.
