Saginaw Valley State was the final stop along the Prep Girls Hoops Michigan College Tour. Talent fit for every level of college basketball flooded the beautiful gym. The facility was perfect for the occasion. Teams had the opportunity to compete in front of 13 different college programs (D2, D3, NAIA, JUCO), PGH scouts, and Midwest Recruiting Resource. Many prospects put their best on full display, and these are some of the guards who had a great day.

Keira came to the PGH Michigan College Tour IV determined. She turned in a complete performance for [program_tooltip program_id='1831436' first='MBA' last='[program_tooltip program_id='952340' first='The' last='House']'] 17U, contributing in every phase to help the team compete. Keira worked hard for offensive rebounds to score putbacks, timed up shots for blocks on the defensive end, and created steals. She showed her second gear in the open court after swiping the ball away, pushed with both hands racing towards the rim, then finished a strong and-one through contact. Keira competes with high energy, communicates, and has versatility that makes her very impactful on both ends of the court.

Ava put herself firmly on our radar while competing on the PGH Circuit with [program_tooltip program_id='712507' first='Factory' last='Basketball'] 17U. Her length and dynamic skill set have left a lasting impression on our scouts. She stood out again at the PGH Michigan College Tour IV. Ava was effective at slashing to the hoop and knocking down outside shots. She used good footwork to create open looks in the lane. Ava side-steps defenders on hard drives and has good touch around the basket. She dropped in a difficult, contested floater in the paint and swiped the ball away on the defensive end to score a layup. Ava has deep range. She buried threes from way downtown up top and from the wing.

Emma seemed to get stronger for [program_tooltip program_id='1249476' first='Lakeside' last='Basketball Academy'] 17U at the PGH Michigan College Tour IV as the day went on. She was their biggest threat on the offensive end and definitely passed the eye test as far as being a higher-level guard prospect. A few highlights from a game included: two corner threes, a deep wing three, and a split drive with a smooth finish. She added an exclamation point by evading a defender in the lane with a side-step, then powered through contact to score an and-one layup without using the backboard. Emma continued her sharpshooting in the Silver Championship Game, sinking threes from the corner and up top. She penetrated off the dribble continuously, earned many trips to the charity stripe, and knocked her shots efficiently. Emma made at least 10 free throws. She has prototypical length, athleticism, and skill at the guard spot.

Ariel is a strong, physical, and athletic guard on Kia Nurse Elite 16U EYBL who imposed her will at the PGH Michigan College Tour IV. She was active on the boards and scored a strong offensive rebound putback. Ariel has good hands and made a smooth transfer for a catch and finish. She caught a pass on the wing, used a quick rip, split the gap, and finished the layup off two feet. Ariel's compact build and skill with the ball make her a major matchup problem for opposing backcourts.

Jeahna is a compact guard from the [program_tooltip program_id='715769' first='Pride' last='Basketball 21'] program who caught my attention at the PGH Michigan College Tour IV. She showed her ability to step outside and hit the corner three or attack and finish off the dribble. Jeahna used a shot-fake to freeze a defender, then went by with a quick crossover for a drive-by layup. She knocked down a smooth pull-up jumper from the free throw line off an inside-out crossover move and went by with a burst for a drive-by layup.

Gianna wasted no time making a strong impression with Kia Nurse Elite 17U at the PGH Michigan College Tour IV. She has length, athleticism, and advanced precision from beyond the arc that translates to a high level of college basketball as a guard. Gianna launched a wing three from the Cardinal logo that found nothing but nylon. She catches passes with her feet balanced and ready to shoot off the hop. Gianna drained a rhythmic deep wing three, a long straightaway jumper off the dribble with a high arc, and added another triple from the corner. She sprinted the floor in transition, caught a pass in stride, and made a great transfer to score a contested inside hand finish. Gianna ran through a pass in the corner, evaded a defender with a crossover, and got to the rim. She blocked a shot away and ripped the ball away for a steal. Gianna had a very impressive showing
