Section 7 Girls Weekend Must See 2027 Players Pt 1

With the Section 7 Girls Weekend upon us I've highlighted must see players from Southern Arizona college coaches should make a point to catch in a game this weekend. Below I've included each players first game and brackets they'll be playing in.    Medina is arguably the top two way guard in the Southern Arizona 2027 class. Coaches looking for a lead guard who can operate an offense at a high level need to look at Medina. She can score at will. High percentage shooter from the perimeter but will get a good chunk of her production from attacking the paint. High level passer. Guards the length of the court and will force turnovers. Takes charges and is an all out hustle player. A vocal leader who sets the tone with her play. Will fill the stat sheet. Coaches can catch [player_tooltip player_id='837943' first='Dora' last='Medina'] playing with the Sunnyside Blue Devils as they face Skyview (CO) Friday June 19th at 10:30am on Court 12 in the SLAM Grafix Bracket.     Nelson will lead the Lancers into Section 7 as arguably the top PG prospect in Southern Arizona. Nelson has an extremely high IQ and just a good overall feel for the game. Handles defensive pressure extremely well and will make tough passes through the double team on target. Excellent perimeter shooter and can drive and score well with her floater. High character, great leadership and impacts the game at a high level. Coaches can catch [player_tooltip player_id='788466' first='Jayci' last='Nelson'] on Friday June 19th at 1030am on court 3 as they face Volcano Vista in the OrthoArizona Bracket.     Alfaro is a new addition to a talented Falcons squad. She is a gifted post player with a solid handle and talented footwork who can score effectively in the paint. Alfaro is one I expect to see gain a lot of college attention this upcoming weekend. She's tremendous on the glass and a disciplined shot blocker. Has a very strong frame and a good wingspan to go with it. College coaches can catch Alfaro and the Falcons on Friday June 19th at 1pm on court 15 as they take on Apollo HS in the ABCA Bracket.     Chief can do it all. She can effectively play every position on the floor. Very skilled and very tough. She is easily a top 10 prospect at her position in the state. Can score at any level. I have zero doubts that Chief will gain momentum on her recruitment and don't be surprised to see her come back to Tucson with some offers. I highly encourage coaches to check out Kayanna and a very talented Falcons team as they take on Apollo HS on Friday June 19th om court 15 at 1pm in the ABCA Bracket.     A shooting guard who plays the game with great energy. Has great speed and is fearless. Crashes the boards with purpose and can score well from the perimeter or driving the lane through tough contact. Silvester has broke out as one of the more impactful guards in Southern Arizona. Plays with passion. Coaches looking for an impactful guard who can come in and be a positive addition to a program should make it a point to catch Silvester and the Mustangs as they play their first game on Friday June 19th on court 13 at 915am against Mica Mountain in the ASEC Bracket.     Elam has elevated herself as one of the more intriguing forward prospects in Southern Arizona. Defensively she is very dominant in the blocking shots and rebounding at a high level. Can quickly knock down the second chance opportunity. Can space the floor with a knock down three ball. Plays great in the pick and roll. Coaches can catch Addison and the Mustangs as they play their first game on Friday June 19th on court 13 at 915am against Mica Mountain in the ASEC Bracket.     Coaches looking for a point guard that can handle the ball in high pressure situations and makes high level reads need to check out Jaidyn and the Catalina Foothills Falcons. A gifted passer who prior to transferring broke the school record for assists in a season with 100 at her former school. Sauced has elite vision. She is a scoring threat with a high percentage three ball and isn't afraid to get physical in the paint and score off the glass.
