Several players left a lasting impression from camp on Sunday in Athens. These kids will play a major role in the success of their high school teams this Winter and their talents were on full display as they all made positive contributions in the games that I saw. Some of these players I had was not aware of coming into the camp, some I had only heard about, and others I have seen consistently be productive for whatever team they are playing on.

Taylor is a player I have seen consistently over the last year be a productive and impactful player for both Winner's United and Grayson. She is a player that as a former coach I would have loved the opportunity to have worked with. She is one of the very best athletes in a state full of division prospects in all sports. Taylor does one or two things a game utilizing her elite (insane) athleticism that will leave you shaking your head. She explodes off the ground violently blocking shots and finishing over defenders at the rim. She has excellent body control as well slicing and slashing her way to the basket around defenders with the ball. Her personality could not be more different as she is one of the most polite and nice kids I have dealt with doing this job. She is the kind of leader Grayson needs to help show the group of extremely talented young players in the program the right way to do things in the locker room and on the court.

London really played well for Grayson in Athens and like Liberal, she is another player who I have seen with some regularity playing with [program_tooltip program_id='1250230' first='Winners' last='United'] this Spring on their very talented 16U EYCL team. I had not seen enough of her before the most recent rankings update to move London higher, but will certainly be moving her up now after seeing her play twice on Sunday in a more prominent role for Grayson. Her activity and energy level was very high throughout the day and she made several plays with just her effort alone. London outworked and outran other players in transition and was rewarded for her efforts with several scoring opportunities on the break. She showed very good quickness and leaping ability slashing to the basket and finishing. There were several more opportunities for London to score, but I saw her pass up those opportunities to get her teammates involved in the scoring rather than trying to pad her stats or make herself look good. She is definitely a player that I will be tracking and will be moved up in the rankings on the next update.

Grayson has been very talented and very good for the last few years. I have seen them play multiple times during that stretch, so I know that I have seen Gavyn play at some point. It could not have possibly been as well as she did on Sunday or I surely would have remembered her. She, along with Liberal and London, give Grayson the length and athleticism to really make life difficult on opposing teams the next two seasons in a somewhat undersized front court. She was terrific slashing her way to the basket over and around defenders scoring the basketball on the break and in the half court. The lefty was smooth with the ball finishing in tight quarters and heavy traffic against Macon County and Dacula in the games I saw. She was very active in the paint and around the rim on both ends having a big impact on both games. She is another player who will be put into the rankings for her class on the next update. There was a lot to like about Gavyn's game and I look forward to seeing her and Grayson at GBCA Live this week.

Milan played the point guard position for GAC in a lot of the games I saw them play last season and did a very good job for her team. On Sunday some of her younger teammates, including the very talented [player_tooltip player_id='1038944' first='Kayden' last='David'], took on that responsibility freeing up Milan to play more on the wing and giving her more opportunities to score the ball, something she did well in Athens. She is a quiet kid who let's her play do the talking and she has plenty of that. With the skill she possesses to go along with her ideal size for a guard and basketball intelligence, college coaches have taken notice with Johnson already receiving offers from multiple division one schools including North Carolina A&T, Stony Brook, Gardner-Webb, Bellarmine, North Florida, and Northern Kentucky. I expect a big senior season for Milan and GAC with a chance for her to win region player of the year and the team to make another deep run for a state championship.

Kayden is a player that I have been a big fan of her game for a while now. She is fundamentally very sound, but has a lot of skill and does not mind showing it off with a little flair. David was excellent at camp both scoring the ball and finding her very talented teammates [player_tooltip player_id='1228165' first='Milan' last='Johnson'] and [player_tooltip player_id='1226988' first='Peyton' last='Frazier']. She played with energy and enthusiasm while showing off her handle and some slick, smooth finishes at the rim. She has a lot of game and a lot of self belief, which I think could really help bring more confidence to her talented team. Kayden can score from all three levels and is an excellent passer of the basketball. As talented as Milan and Peyton are, they are not as outgoing as David is on the court which I think gives her a great opportunity to help lead this team not only with her play and swagger, but vocally as well.

If I were a college coach at a smaller school in Georgia, then Jazmyn would be a player that I would target in the 2027 class. She is like a Swiss Army knife on the court with the ability to do a lot of different things and well on both ends of the court. To go along with her skills and versatility, she is nearly six feet tall and plays the game with a very high motor. Offensively, Jazmyn shoots the ball really well from 15-18 feet, handles it like a guard, and does not mind doing the dirty work like setting screens and battling in the paint for offensive rebounds. she usually gets a couple of those and one or two put backs in every game I have seen her play. She does a great job getting out and sprinting on the break usually scoring a few layups as a result due to the speed and quickness advantage she possesses over most defenders. She is an unselfish kid who likes to compete and loves to win. She has the game and the personality to be a contributor at the right place on the college level.

Coming off a very impressive high school season that earned Cat All Region honors in a very tough region and a Spring full of travel ball that saw very good individual performances, Harris recently picked up an offer from division two North Greenville University after winning the one on one competition and playing very well at their Elite Camp. At UGA Cat spent more time initiating and facilitating the offense than she did looking to score. She is joined by very talented guards [player_tooltip player_id='884256' first='Gabby' last='Thomas'] and [player_tooltip player_id='743580' first='Tobi' last='Owolabi'] in the backcourt and all three will play on the next level. They have had very competitive games against some of the very best teams in the state like Holy Innocents, Milton, and Newton this Summer with Cat playing a major part. Harris is a true two-way player who not only is a factor offensively, but is a shutdown defender who is often tasked with guarding the other team's best player. She is a kid that could see more offers this Summer come her way with good performances at GBCA Live this week and a continuance of her stellar play on the travel ball circuit in July.
