Milan played the point guard position for GAC in a lot of the games I saw them play last season and did a very good job for her team. On Sunday some of her younger teammates, including the very talented Kayden David Kayden David 5'8" | PG/SG Greater Atlanta Christian | 2028 State GA , took on that responsibility freeing up Milan to play more on the wing and giving her more opportunities to score the ball, something she did well in Athens. She is a quiet kid who let’s her play do the talking and she has plenty of that. With the skill she possesses to go along with her ideal size for a guard and basketball intelligence, college coaches have taken notice with Johnson already receiving offers from multiple division one schools including North Carolina A&T, Stony Brook, Gardner-Webb, Bellarmine, North Florida, and Northern Kentucky. I expect a big senior season for Milan and GAC with a chance for her to win region player of the year and the team to make another deep run for a state championship.

I probably watched Milan and GAC play more than anyone this season and at times I took for granted the outstanding play of Milan Johnson Milan Johnson 5'9" | SF/PG Greater Atlanta Christian | 2027 State GA . She is an outstanding lead guard with high level skills, and very good size drawing the interests of several division one programs. The maturity she showed after losing her teammate and leading scorer, Barri Newman Barri Newman 5'9" | SF GAC | 2028 State GA , was admirable. Johnson’s role changed and her responsibilities and expectations did with it. She had the ball in her hands a lot more of the time and she was relied to help fill the scoring void left by Newman. She did an excellent job increasing her effectiveness and efficiency scoring the ball while also facilitating the offense. she handles the ball with confidence and is an excellent passer. Johnson’s production could see a major increase as she plays her final season before making her college decision. She is a player who could average twenty points on most teams with ease, but her play in the second half of the season helped GAC make a nice run in the state tournament.

Milan sparked GAC in the second half scoring 11 points. Milan had three nearly consecutive coast-to-coast finishes in the third quarter, capped by an And-1. Johnson’s length allows her to play passing lanes. The long strider powered GAC with 15 points, 6 rebounds, 1 assist and 1 steal. Johnson is a strong D-I prospect with size, athleticism and skill.

Johnson did an excellent job running the show for GAC finding open teammates and running the offense, but when she needed to Johnson also was efficient and impressive putting the ball in the basket. She has great size for a guard and Johnson used her length well to create space for and then elevate over defenders to shoot. She took smaller defenders down in the paint and used her size advantage to score on them inside. Johnson, again, is efficient. No wasted dribbles or forced shots from Johnson and very few turnovers. She is a player drawing a lot of interest from college programs and she showed why on Friday night.

D-I schools are tracking Milan. She has great tools – wiry, long and athletic with broad shoulders. When she is locked in, she’s a dangerous three-level scorer who always makes things happen on defense. Against Tri-Cities, Johnson provided 5 points, 6 rebounds, 1 steal and 2 blocks.

The smooth guard transferred to GAC from Northview. Johnson is versatile across 1-3, armed with length and a confident jumper. D-I interest is already in the mix after posting 9.5 points, 5.6 rebounds, 1.8 assists and 2.6 steals as a sophomore.

Milan was one of the more impressive players during the weekend on getting downhill and finishing at the rim. She had great energy on defense with a couple big steals and transition points in the game I watched. Her outside shot looked pretty good although I think her strength is getting to the rim as far as scoring is concerned. I really liked how well she rebounded the ball at her size/position and seemed to be very intentional about crashing the glass as the number 3 rebounder (6.5 rpg) at the 16U level.

Milan’s playmaking is anchored in her aggressive drives to the basket and her ability to read the defense on the move. She attacks the rim with purpose, drawing defenders in and forcing rotations that leave her teammates open. With her head up and vision locked in, Milan consistently finds the open player on the perimeter, delivering strong, accurate passes that set up quality shots. Her physicality and control when penetrating the lane make her a constant threat, not just to score, but to create for others. Milan’s drive-and-kick game is a key part of her team’s offensive rhythm.
