Back in the fall, when we first ranked Minnesota's Class of 2029, we began with our usual Freshman 50. Since then, we've almost doubled the number of ranked players, with this latest update bringing the total to 95 prospects. This time around there are 21 additions from around the state who are entering the PGH rankings for the first time. 12 different AAU clubs and 20 different schools are represented by this group of newcomers, with 11 players coming from class 4A schools, 5 from class 3A, 4 from class 2A, and 1 from class 1A. With so many names on the docket, we'll be breaking the additions into three parts. Let's meet part 1 of the newcomers in the Class of 2029.

Standing at a whopping 6-foot-4, a player of Woodley's size is impossible to miss. The Luverne sophomore (pictured above), who plays AAU for Sanford Sports Academy in Sioux Falls, has immense physical strength, is fairly mobile, and knows how to use her size to her advantage. While her overall skill development is still quite raw, Gracyn's game is full of potential. She creates space for herself around the rim, is effective on the glass, and communicates well on the defensive end. As one of the biggest players we've seen in the class, Woodley will undoubtedly be a sought-after college prospect when all is said and done. She joins the rankings at #47.

Waterworth has all the hallmarks of a typical coach's kid. She's highly skilled, possesses a strong understanding of the game, makes smart decisions on both ends of the floor, and plays with a keen attention to detail. On top of that, the St. Francis sophomore has many attributes that can't be taught. Chloe is quick and light on her feet, she has innate playmaking abilities and sees the floor with ease, and she brings a high degree of intensity each time she steps on the court. A steadfast performer for [program_tooltip program_id='712697' first='MN' last='Crossfire'] all summer, the 5'8 guard is a hidden gem among the 2029s. Waterworth makes her rankings debut at #56.

With immense athleticism and a high degree of skill at her disposal, Jefferson draws most of the defensive attention for the [program_tooltip program_id='712700' first='Minnesota' last='Suns'] 2029 S40 squad. Watch her play for a few minutes and it's easy to understand why. The 5'10 guard is explosive, has plenty of length, and has a silky smooth elevation on her shot. She handles the ball very well, has a wide array of footwork in the paint, and can knock down shots from outside. With how quickly her game is improving, Jilaeya is rapidly making a name for herself in the class. The Minnetonka sophomore enters the rankings at #64.

One of the premier perimeter shooters in the sophomore class, Hinze has shown she can light t up from beyond the arc all summer. While she's not the most well-known name on the roster, the Fury 2029 S40 guard impacts the game through her constant activity on both ends of the floor, as well as her tireless work ethic. Braylee's ability to create movement off the ball and slip into backdoor cuts unnoticed allows her to open up the offense in ways that are sure to translate to the next level. Hinze is sure to be a factor for Lakeville North this winter. She joins the rankings at #70.

Another member of the 2029 S40 roster, Oyesanmi has burst onto the scene this summer. Standing at just 5'8, the Fury forward is somewhat undersized. But don't let that fool you – Ella's impact on the game is massive. The Tartan sophomore is highly effective on the boards, out-muscling larger opponents to snag rebounds. She creates space for herself in the paint, maintains her balance on drives to the rim, and is a quality shooter from beyond the arc. Oyesanmi plays with an innate feel for the game, striking a balance between robust strength and subtle finesse. She joins the conversation at #79.

We highlighted Moore last month after a strong performance at the Mill City Invitational. This month she joins the Class of 2029 rankings. Standing 6 feet tall with ample length and plenty of athleticism to boot, the Maple Grove sophomore has all the physical tools required to play at the college level. Hannah runs the floor with ease, uses her length effectively on the defensive end, and possesses the strength to maintain her positioning in the paint. We've seen big improvements in Moore's overall skill level since we first watched her last fall, particularly in the growth of her offensive skillset. She enters the rankings at #80.

It's not easy for young players to break into the varsity rotation at Benilde-St. Margaret's, but over the winter Mismash did just that. Since then, the 5'10 guard has been a key contributor for the [program_tooltip program_id='712665' first='Metro' last='Stars'] 2029 3SSB squad. Long, wiry, and fluid in her movements, Harper gracefully runs the floor, playing the game with smooth athleticism that's impossible to miss. The Red Knights sophomore impacts the offense by controlling her pace, spacing the floor, and finding openings in the defense, slashing to the rim for easy buckets. Also a quality shooter from beyond the three-point line, Mismash debuts at #81 in the class.
