It's been just over eight months since we first published the Prep Girls Hoops Freshmen 50 for Minnesota's class of 2029. In that time, many members of the class saw their first varsity minutes, some prospects began receiving their first collegiate offers, and we've constantly been on the lookout for newcomers. After adding 24 players to the list in February we've now added another 21 for a total of 95.

In the stock riser category, many of the names are the same as when we last updated the rankings. These players, many of whom had stellar freshmen seasons with their respective high school teams, have continued to grow and evolve since the AAU season began back in April. Some have shined at recent college elite camps, some have seen an uptick in recruiting, but all seven of these prospects have continued to move the needle in some way or another over the past several months. With this most recent update, each of the featured stock risers have elevated themselves into a new tier of the rankings for the first time. Here's a look at the incoming sophomores who are moving on up.

+1 Moving up one place in the class of 2029, the [program_tooltip program_id='713021' first='West' last='Central United'] post has now entered the top 10. Following a standout freshman season at New London-Spicer, Tanner has been utterly dominant this spring. The 6'2 forward has gotten physically stronger, more aggressive on both ends of the floor, and has been gradually adding range to her shot, making her a scoring threat from multiple areas on the court. Korbin's recruiting saw a major uptick after the May live period event, where she received a slew of Division 1 offers from schools such as North Dakota, South Dakota, North Dakota State, and Omaha.

+3 There is no question that Hilgert has been on a roll this summer. In her first season with the [program_tooltip program_id='712687' first='Minnesota' last='Fury'], the 5'10 guard has come up big at key moments, including the AAU State Championships, the Mill City Invitational, and most recently Summer Jam (Click here to read more about that performance). Ultra competitive, constantly composed, and highly aggressive on both ends of the floor, Lucy has been showing all summer that she has what it takes to compete at the next level. The Chanhassen sophomore moves up three places in the rankings, entering the top 20 prospects in the Class of 2029.

+3 Following a freshman season where her piranha-like perimeter defense earned her a spot in the rotation at Lakeville North, Koles has taken yet another leap this spring. The 5'7 guard has been a standout performer on the [program_tooltip program_id='712687' first='Minnesota' last='Fury'] 2029 S40 squad all season, excelling as the team's lightning quick, knockdown three-point shooter. Each time she steps on the court, Nivaya plays high-tempo, high-effort basketball that allows her to be incredibly impactful on both ends of the floor. Elevating her game at an astounding pace, Koles moves up three places in the rankings, making her entrance into the top 25.

+4 The rapid pace of Bergan's growth has been well-chronicaled this spring, particularly after her top notch performances at some of the season's biggest tournaments. Lengthy, strong, and effortlessly athletic, the 5'11 guard is an elite level athlete with an incredible natural feel for the game. Rinlee's basketball journey began not all that long ago, but what has quickly become apparent is that the Lewiston-Altura sophomore has all the makings of a Division 1 prospect. With her skill level and understanding of the game now beginning to match her physical gifts, Bergan has rightfully earned a spot in the top 25.

+7 After spending some time playing for All Iowa Attack, Kalscheur's return to Minnesota for the AAU season has given us the opportunity to see her growth up close and personal. The [program_tooltip program_id='714566' first='Minnesota' last='Stars'] guard has been a top performer this spring, stepping up as a three-level scorer on the 2029 3SSB squad. We've seen improvements in Rose's shot creation, defensive IQ, and finishing at the rim, but as always, the 5'9 combo guard plays with relentless effort each time she steps on the floor. With a significant athletic upside, it won't be long before the offers start rolling for the Benilde-St. Margaret's sophomore. She now joins the top 30.

+2 We've seen significant improvements in Englund's game since we first watched her play at the PGH Freshmen Showcase last fall. The 5'11 guard is physically stronger, significantly more skilled, and is playing with a newfound level of confidence. Kylie's ample length and growing athleticism give her a great deal of versatility, allowing her to play multiple positions at both ends of the floor. With her hard-working style of play, ability to stretch the floor, and improving offensive skillset, the Wayzata sophomore has all of the makings of a scholarship level college prospect. She moves up two places, entering the top 30 for the first time.

+4 Time and time again, both in the high school season and on the AAU circuit, Behnke has proven her abilities as a highly effective two-way performer. The 6-foot forward plays physical, works hard, and is consistently committed to locking her opponents down on the defensive end. The Spring Lake Park standout was also one of the state's top rebounders over the winter, corralling over 250 boards as a freshman. Lyla's constant effort, willingness to get her hands dirty, and attention to the details of the game are what make her great. Not to mention, her abilities as a multi-level scorer. Behnke climbs four more places into the top 40.

THE REST OF THE RANKINGS RISERS

+1 [player_tooltip player_id='939004' first='Alysen' last='Purcell'] – 5'10 guard, Annandale

+1 [player_tooltip player_id='1616472' first='Ashlynn' last='Wolff'] – 6'0 wing, Janesville-Waldorf-Pemberton
