All City Series: Stock Risers in Chattanooga Area (Part 2)

With Bradley having an impressive run and programs such as Cleveland, McMinn Central, Baylor, and Notre Dame (just to name a few) on the horizon and competing at a high level, I had to take one more look around town and find kids you should know.   I know a lot of times we focus on what's in the box score, and rightfully so. There are also other ways kids can be helpful to their squads. It may be doing the dirty work. Setting that solid screen to get a shooter open. It may be making that extra effort, playing, diving for loose balls, or giving your body up to take a charge. The one thing I will say is a common denominator of the girls who play ball in this area: not only do they get the job done, but their willingness to get after it on every possession truly stands out.   So before we roll up the highway, we uncover some more kids in the Scenic City area whose stocks are sure to rise this upcoming year. These young ladies bring a lot to the table, and their willingness to contribute to their squad in any capacity truly doesn't go unnoticed. Keep track of these names, as they will be difference-makers for their club in more ways than one.    Versatile kid who is coming into her own; she is going to find a way to impact the game. Known for her hustle, she's going to create havoc on both ends of the floor. Has speed. Gets after it no matter the situation, she's going to get tallies across the board, doing so effectively. She can score inside the arc and is aggressive off the dribble. She won't hesitate to pull the trigger from deep. She's going to lock up on the defensive end, no matter if it's a guard or a big. She's on the boards, neutralizing an opponent's attack. She's a kid who will do her assignment well and be impactful for her team. Look for her to continue growing and gaining even more attention.     As solid as they come, a heady ballplayer who is going to make a difference in more ways than one. A kid who can shoot the mess out of the ball from deep, can attack off the dribble, make timely passes to the hot hand, and then turn around and defend. She plays with great energy and such passion. A laser-focused kid, she is a leader who can rally the troops. This season is going to be one to remember, and she'll be at the forefront, leading the charge. A selfless ballplayer who is going to have a breakthrough year.     A kid who plays with poise, and once she is locked and loaded, she is hard to slow down. A sharpshooter that can knock down 3s and mid-range jumpers. She finds the bottom of the net consistently, delivering a deadly stroke. She is going to compete at a high level and contribute not only on the offensive end but also on the defensive end. Look for her to be a solid contributor for her club as they make another run at the state tournament. Along with that, you better believe coaches will be looking at her talent and where it fits at the next level.     A heady floor general who competes her tail off. A kid who can thread the needle and deliver passes to the hot hand. One who can score from the arc, but also gets paint touches and finishing at the rim. She is a solid defender who understands her assignments, a great trapper, and one who gets steals and deflections. She will be relied on heavily this upcoming season to lead her club. She's up for the task, playing with such confidence and poise. Schools are looking at this talented kid and expect her to receive more offers.     Athletic. Talented. A kid who is going to step into a bigger role for her program. This kid is a worker, honing her craft every day. One who is adding to her toolbelt, not only adding finishes to her low block arsenal, but also adding range to her game, so that she will be attacking off the dribble and exploiting the mid-range. This kid has great upside and the heart and passion to match her will. Look for her to be an impactful kid for her BCHS team, and one who will get looks from coaches at the next level.     A solid two-way player who is on the come-up. A kid who can defend at a high level, but most importantly, put the ball in the hoop. She has range in her game, knocking it down from deep. It's afraid to put the ball on the floor, or to be creative by making the right play or finishing at the rim. She's one who is going to do whatever it takes for her team's success. She's hungry. Someone who is a heady ballplayer. One who will find ways to leave her mark on the game. Look for her to continue to grow and contribute to Baylor's success this season and beyond.
