Standouts From Lady P32 Event in Cincinnati

It was a great time to be in the Queen City to catch the New Balance LadyP32 event. Cincinnati's First Financial Center hosted a fierce, competitive event that did not disappoint. There were tons of teams like normal, but league play saw many tightly contested games go down to the wire. For those who are new to the New Balance circuit, this league has clubs play in a promotion-and-relegation format throughout the season. This session saw many teams step up in a mighty big way. In soccer terms, the table got flipped as many teams that were either middle of the pack or near the bottom knocked off top teams. Every game mattered as clubs jockeyed for position heading into the knockout tournament in July.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Our state didn't disappoint, with representation throughout the tournament. Kids from various schools in Tennessee got after it and showcased what basketball down south is all about. She's impactful on both ends of the floor. What I like most about her game is her selflessness and willingness to give up her body to make a difference. From taking charges and diving on the floor, she did what she could to obtain extra possessions for her club. She knocked down shots when she needed to, but facilitated the rock to the hot hand. She's one who turned a lot of heads in Cincy by her style of play. Defensively, she finished multiple games with 4+ steals by using her length to force turnovers. This kid had solid outings that impressed multiple collegiate coaches. Whatever is needed to help her club, she goes out and does that. She frustrates people like no other. As soon as her opponent catches the ball, she's on them like glue. Her offensive game speaks volumes as well. She had a great tournament, not only scoring well in basketball but also showcasing her defensive ability to create chaos.
