The six days of the largest tournament of the grassroots season are over, and I spent the past week in Louisville to take in most of the action. Today, we'll look at some of the players from Wisconsin in all the leagues, UAA, and open pools from around the Kentucky Convention. We're on the final leg of the 2026 grassroots season, and we'll have some more overarching discussions come August.

The Wisconsin Lutheran wing has improved a ton over her past four years of basketball. She's lighter on her feet than she's been, and has become a versatile defender. She has always been a solid perimeter shooter who can space the floor, but she has grown into attacking off the dribble and found ways to finish around the basket. I have always liked her basketball IQ, and it showed this past week in Kentucky.

The La Crosse native is one of the better shooters I've seen come out of Wisconsin in my five years covering the state. The way she can set her feet, get her shot up, and have every shot look the same is something I've rarely seen from anyone in Wisconsin. She is a smaller guard, but she has the IQ to make plays without being 5-9 or taller. I love how she plays.

The 6-0 guard/wing adds significant versatility to any lineup she's in. Elliott is a rangy kid who can move her feet on the perimeter and use her length and physicality to defend around the basket against post players. The Kohler native also scored clutch baskets in the semifinals and finals in her [program_tooltip program_id='713344' first='Chapman' last='Basketball Academy']'s E40 Championship run. I also thought she looked more confident shooting the ball than she's been since I first saw her play in her first season of high school basketball.

The Waunakee guard is a talented guard who can flip a game on its head at any moment. Bryan has rebounded the ball well in UAA and has played hard every second she's been on the floor. She got downhill agaisnt everyone I saw her play against, and she was a creator when the ball was in her hands. I thought she had moments of shooting the ball well in the few games I saw. She's a dynamic player with the tools to excel at a high level once she gets into college. I thought she played well in the final UAA event before the Finals.
