More Players I’ve Enjoyed Watching This Grassroots Season

Whether teams end up in Chicago, Hamilton, Rock Hill, Louisville, or elsewhere, the 2026 grassroots season has allowed players from Wisconsin to flourish at events around the country. Langebartels has elite size for the high school level and is among the best set shooters at the prep level right now. She also has a high release, which allows her to shoot over defenders trying to contest her shot. She's also a physical player who can play around the basket on both ends of the floor. Buttchen is a multi-sport athlete who plays with an edge. She's not the most physically imposing player you'll find, but she's willing to be physical and make opposing guards uncomfortable. Whenever she catches the ball on the perimeter and has space to shoot, you almost expect her shots to fall. She's a confident shooter who can knock down jumpers in bunches. However, I've enjoyed seeing her growth as a ball handler this spring and summer. She's a strong kid who can protect the ball under pressure and has shown some physicality as a lead guard. She's an athletic kid who can defend at a high level and plays hard on both ends of the court. Lauer is a player who finds ways to the ball when her team needs a spark. There isn't much she can't do on the floor, and she keeps improving. She's a mentally strong kid who doesn't give up on plays and will make extra-effort plays whenever she's on the floor. Wherever she ends up at the next level, if she wants to play, they will be better because Lauer is on their roster.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- /wp:acf/evaluation-block --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph -->
