Several of the state's premier prospects have announced their college commitments, while official and unofficial visits continue to take place as recruiting activity heats up. With the July live period right around the corner, college coaches are putting the finishing touches on their recruiting boards, making this one of the busiest times of the year on the recruiting calendar. Here's a look at some of the latest recruiting buzz from around Kentucky.</p>    <p>[player_tooltip player_id='1060383' first='Jayden' last='McClain'] is staying home, announcing her commitment to the University of Kentucky. The 6-foot-6, four-star prospect is currently ranked No. 12 in the ESPN Terrific 25 and is the No. 1 player in Kentucky's Class of 2029. The standout forward is coming off a dominant season in which she averaged a team-leading 18.2 points and 11.2 rebounds per game, guiding North Laurel to its fourth consecutive Sweet 16 appearance. One of the most sought-after prospects in Kentucky's Class of 2027, Claybrook currently holds more than 18 Division I offers. The rising sophomore put together a sensational freshman campaign, leading John Hardin with 27.2 points and 10.8 rebounds per game while shooting an efficient 54% from the field, 38% from three-point range, and 77% from the free-throw line. McCurry has quickly become a hot-commidity this spring and summer while playing up with Lady Phenom United 17U. The West Jessamine star is coming off a junior season in which she averaged 13.1 points and 10.6 rebounds per game in 22 contests. Marshall helped lead the Lady Colts to the program's first-ever 12th Region championship and appearance in the Sweet 16. Bradstreet was a key contributor for Taylor County last season, helping lead the Lady Cardinals to back-to-back Sweet 16 appearances. She finished second on the team in scoring, averaging 11.0 points per game while playing an important role in one of Kentucky's top programs.
