<p>On <strong>June 25-28th</strong> the <strong>Native American Junior Nationals</strong> took place at the<strong> Arizona Athletic Grounds</strong> in<strong> Mesa</strong>. 67 girls' teams from across 14 states and <strong>Canada</strong> competed in the 11th-12th grade division.</p>

<p class="text-gray-700">Pitella was the engine behind Team Stronghold's Diamond Division championship run. The senior point guard controlled the pace, consistently put teammates in scoring positions, and knew when to look for her own offense. Her poise and floor leadership stood out every time she stepped on the court.</p>

<p class="text-gray-700">Curtis, playing with Run N Gun, drew plenty of defensive attention throughout the event but never looked rattled. The sophomore guard handled pressure with composure, continued to create offense, and did a good job balancing her scoring with getting teammates involved. Her maturity with the ball was impressive.</p>

<p class="text-gray-700">Wily played at a different speed than most players on the floor. Her ability to push the pace for the GC3 Stars in transition consistently put defenses on their heels, while her instincts on the defensive end allowed her to jump passing lanes and create extra possessions. She brought energy on both ends from start to finish.<br></p>

<p class="text-gray-700">Aguebor established herself as a force in the paint throughout the event. The physical forward controlled the glass, defended with her length, and finished efficiently around the basket. She also flashed a nice mid-range jumper, adding another dimension to her offensive game and making her even tougher to defend.<br></p>

<p class="text-gray-700">Shepard made her presence felt every time she stepped into the paint. The Lady Stars forward controlled the glass with her relentless rebounding, protected the rim with timely shot-blocking, and consistently altered opponents' shots. On the offensive end, she showed soft touch around the basket and finished efficiently, making her a reliable interior presence on both ends of the floor.</p>

<p class="text-gray-700">Playing for Run N Gun, Harrington established herself as one of the premier shooters in the gym. She shot the ball with effortless range and confidence, stretching defenses every time she touched the ball. When given even the smallest of spaces, she made opponents pay from the perimeter.</p>

<p class="text-gray-700">See-See did an excellent job running the offense and keeping her team organized throughout the event. The point guard consistently found teammates in scoring positions while also creating havoc defensively, piling up steals with her anticipation and active hands.</p>

<p class="text-gray-700">Risi played a key role in Team Stronghold's championship run with her consistent two-way play. She knocked down perimeter shots when her team needed them most and used her quick hands on the defensive end to create turnovers and disrupt opposing guards.<br></p>

She impacted the game in every phase, scoring the basketball, creating opportunities for teammates, and generating steals on the defensive end. Her all-around production helped the Rezbombers win the platinum division championship.</p>
