North Dakota Rankings Release: 6 Senior Role Players

She helped steady West Fargo in it's full-court press-break. She is a quick and speedy guard with a good handle. She does a good job of finding advantages, using retreat dribbles, and making the right pass. She is a tenacious defender and really good at guarding the ball. She is able to turn opponents multiple times in a possession and make it difficult to pass to teammates. Horace has a ton of playmakers and having players like Sydney on the floor helps create driving lanes for those playmakers. Sydney does her role for the Hawks to perfection. She is tasked with defending and hitting down open shots. Last season she shot an impressive 41.7% from behind the arc. She gets her feet and hands ready to hit those open three pointers. She is a terrific defender who plays really hard. Sophie will be one of the main pieces on a Bruins team that didn't find a win in 2025-2026. She has been playing varsity basketball since the 8th grade and is looking forward to competing in her senior season at Fargo South. She was listed as a team captain as a Junior. South will be looking to Sophie for some senior leadership. She leads by example and sets the tone with her effort on the floor. The WDA has some really good teams and Jamestown is hoping to knock one of the powerhouses out of the State Tournament and sneak in next year. Yunck will be critical if that is to occur. She is a point guard with a ton of experience playing varsity basketball. Her ability to handle the rock and get her teammates open is impressive. She is a quick athlete with a quick release. She is a true workhorse around the rim. She battles for position and embraces the physicality required to be an effective post player. She is an exceptional rebounder. She averaged 3 offensive rebounds per game in 2025-2026. This ability to pursue extra possessions for her team is really impressive. She defends well, fights for position, and secures rebounds.
