Tuesday Night Tune Up: Court Commanders

The Tuesday Night Tune Up at Grand Blanc High School was the perfect one-day event for teams and players to sharpen their skills before a busy July schedule. With the live period right around the corner, players took advantage of another opportunity to compete, build momentum, and showcase their growth. Throughout the night, several athletes stood out with their ability to control the game, make plays, and lead their teams on both ends of the floor. These court commanders caught my attention with their confidence, skill set, and impact during the Tuesday Night Tune Up.    MJ was a steady presence running the show for [program_tooltip program_id='1226083' first='West' last='Michigan Drive'] at the Tuesday Night Tune Up. The point guard displayed a smooth handle and shiftiness with the ball in her hands, allowing her to create space and get where she wanted on the floor. She showed her ability to finish creatively around the rim with a nice euro step move, while also proving she can stretch the defense by knocking down shots from beyond the arc. On the other end, MJ brought the same level of competitiveness, applying pressure defensively and making things difficult for opposing guards. Her combination of ball handling, scoring ability, and defensive effort made her a player who stood out throughout the event.     Avery showed why she is a Roosevelt commit with her strong two-way play for the Mystics at the Tuesday Night Tune Up. The guard made her presence felt offensively by consistently stretching the floor and connecting on multiple shots from beyond the arc. She played with confidence and was ready to capitalize whenever she found open looks. Defensively, Avery was active and disruptive, reading plays well, jumping passing lanes, and creating steals that helped turn defense into offense. Her ability to impact the game with her shooting, instincts, and effort made her a standout performer.     Allie brought energy and toughness to the Mystics at the Tuesday Night Tune Up with her competitive style of play. The guard made an impact on the defensive end, applying pressure and making opponents work for everything. Her scrappiness and willingness to battle stood out, as she consistently found ways to make winning plays for her team. Offensively, Allie showed great vision in transition, pushing the pace and delivering well-timed passes to create scoring opportunities for her teammates. Her defensive intensity, playmaking ability, and high-energy approach made her a valuable presence on the floor.     Madie made her presence felt on both ends of the floor for the Mystics at the Tuesday Night Tune Up. The guard brought a strong defensive mindset, highlighted by a big-time perimeter block that showed off her timing, instincts, and willingness to compete on every possession. Offensively, Madie displayed confidence attacking the basket, using a strong baseline drive to get by her defender and finish at the rim. She also showed her ability to stretch the floor by knocking down shots from behind the arc. With her defensive toughness, scoring versatility, and competitive approach, Madie proved to be a valuable two-way player for the Mystics.     A'leeyah brought speed, energy, and two-way production for [program_tooltip program_id='932068' first='Michigan' last='Prospects'] at the Tuesday Night Tune Up. The guard used her quickness to make an impact defensively, applying pressure and creating problems for opposing ball handlers. Her active hands and anticipation led to multiple steals, giving her team extra opportunities in transition. Offensively, A'leeyah showed confidence from the perimeter, knocking down shots from behind the arc, including one from deep range. She also displayed nice touch inside the arc with a smooth floater when attacking the paint. Her combination of quickness, defensive intensity, and ability to score at different levels made her a standout performer.
