80+ prospects fit for every level of college basketball from across the great state of Illinois flooded the gym for a fully loaded day of 3v3 and 5v5 competition. The live coverage was off the hook, and the prospects gave us plenty of material to post about! Here's a snapshot of the strengths I observed from the players competing for Team 10 at the Prep Girls Hoops Sophomore ID Camp Showcase!

Brooklyn has versatility as a stretch forward with her length and ability to stretch the floor as a shooter. She showed her outside range by sinking a corner three, circling on the perimeter to provide an outside threat. Brooklyn rotated from the middle to block a shot and demonstrated good help-side awareness as a shot blocker. She set strong ball-screens for guards to give them open driving lanes and had height that stood out with Team 10 at the PGH Sophomore Illinois ID Camp.

Isabella made an impact for Team 10 at the PGH Sophomore ID Camp with her scrappy defensive pressure, poised ball-handling under pressure, and added some clips to the highlight reel with her outside shooting. One of Isabella's top plays happened as the seconds ticked down in the first half. She unleashed a deep slot three at the buzzer that found the bottom of the net to close out the half in style. Isabella ripped by on a determined baseline drive with a burst, beat the help to the spot, and went up off two for the strong finish. Isabella was comfortable handling the ball with both hands under pressure and kept her eyes up. She escaped full-court pressure and threw a strong pass up the floor to start the fast break.

Chloe fit right in with Team 10 at the PGH Sophomore ID Camp. She's a quick guard who has the toughness to drive hard to the basket and the vision to find open teammates off dribble penetration. Chloe's determination on a drive forced the defense to foul, and she contributed as a rebounder. Chloe made a great baseline skip pass when the defense committed to her dribble and threw a nice overhead entry pass into the post. Her ability to impact games and play different roles will be an asset in the backcourt this winter.

Jada looked determined to leave her stamp on the PGH Illinois Sophomore ID Camp. Her aggressiveness and comprehensive impact on the court for Team 10 separated her at the event. Jada played more of a combo-guard role and was very effective with the ball in her hands. She completed multiple three-point plays. Jada poked the ball out with a quick hand for a steal at half court, calmly dribbled the ball to the top of the key, shifted gears with a crossover to create a driving lane, then put her in the rearview mirror to score a strong and-one bucket at the rim with her off-hand. Jada added another and-one finish after splitting the gap with a burst. She buried a straightaway three off a crossover dribble and stuck a mid-range jumper after using a shifty crossover step-back combo move. Jada was relentless as a rebounder. She crashed the glass to score putbacks and secured many rebounds on the defensive end. Jada demonstrated solid footwork, landing with a stride-stop, then pivoting to convert a tough, turnaround jumper. She freed up a teammate with a ball-screen and threw a strong cross-court skip pass to the opposite corner.

Jemma did a little bit of everything to help Team 10 compete at the PGH Illinois Sophomore ID Camp. She showed an ability to slash to the basket, driving with a burst to score a left-handed finish. Jemma made smart reads off the ball and cut to the basket for a nice catch and finish. She ca catches passes with her feet set and ready to fire, following through with a confident wrist snap on her release.

Lilly has good length as a guard-wing prospect, points and communicates, and makes the right play. She made an unselfish one more pass to get a teammate a wide-open three instead of taking a contested shot. Lilly is a confident three-point threat. She catches passes loaded and balanced to get her shot off quickly against defenders closing out. Lilly was comfortable handling the ball with either hand and utilizes jab steps to shift defenders out of her way to drive. She understands where to be on the defensive end in gap and help, directing others to make sure everybody's on the same page. Lilly was a solid all-around contributor for Team 10 at the PGH Illinois Sophomore ID Camp.

Natalie has a polished skill set, good length as a guard, and an IQ that makes her a promising next-level prospect. She was an all-around playmaker for Team 10 at the PGH Sophomore ID Camp. Natalie created a clip for the highlight reel when she froze a defender with a sharp punch step on the perimeter, then took one dribble into a silky smooth step back three from the slot. She buried another triple from the corner off the hop, scored with her left hand off two feet, and dropped in a soft floater after changing lanes with a quick crossover to blow by her defender at the top of the key. Natalie demonstrated excellent footwork after catching a pass down low, using effective pivots to create an opening, then finished the shot over a tall defender. She anticipated a miss, sprinted in to secure the offensive rebound, then kicked the ball out to the perimeter. Natalie has good instincts off the ball in the gap or in help. She was very active as a rebounder and will be a Wisconsin prospect in this class to keep your eyes on. and kicks the ball out to the perimeter.

Tailynn has some showtime to her game. The words razzle dazzle came to mind when she made a sudden behind-the-back pass on a fast break to a sprinting teammate for an assist. Tailynn has good handles and control. She utilized retreat dribbles to create space from a defender on the perimeter and created the space needed to shoot the three. Tailynn buried a short jump and drained a long contested jumper in the corner off a crafty crossover step-back dribble. She facilitated well for Team 10 at the PGH Illinois Sophomore ID Camp and looks ready for a productive sophomore campaign.
