70+ prospects fit for every level of college basketball from across the great state of Illinois flooded the gym for a fully loaded day of 3v3 and 5v5 competition. The live coverage was off the hook, and the prospects gave us plenty of material to post about! Here's a snapshot of the strengths I observed from the players competing for Team Two at the Prep Girls Hoops Sophomore ID Camp Showcase!

Aaliyah is an athletic, dual-threat guard who stretches the floor with her outside range and penetrates defenses with her quick, sharp handles. She has a smooth outside stroke and buried a confident triple from the slot. Aaliyah showed her touch in the lane, sinking a jumper, got the edge with a shifty crossover, and finished with a stretch layup. She scored a full speed catch and finish with a smooth transfer during a fast break and turned in a solid performance for Team Two at the PGH Illinois Sophomore ID Camp.

Leilani stood out as a versatile prospect who's skilled enough to play on the perimeter and fierce enough to impose her will in the paint. She's strong, powerful, and has a filled-out frame that makes moving her off her spots a tall order. Leilani showed a second gear in transition, taking a defensive rebound coast to coast. She demonstrated the ability to stretch the floor by sinking an open corner three. Leilani got downhill off the dribble, went up strong to finish off two feet, cleaned up the glass, and made an impression with her athleticism. She had a good day for Team Two at The PGH Illinois Sophomore ID Camp.

Kennedy stuffed the stat sheet for Team Two at the Sophomore ID Camp. Rebounding, facilitating, three-point shooting, slashing to the rim, and finishing were all present in her game. Kennedy snatched many defensive rebounds and immediately pushed the ball up tempo the other way to start fast break scoring opportunities. She penetrated gaps, forced the help to collapse, and kicked the ball out to the perimeter for assists on threes. Kennedy buried a smooth straightaway three off a crossover dribble and drained another triple from the wing. She forced the defense to put her on the line by blowing by the first defender and split the gap on a left-handed drive to score a speedy inside-hand finish after making a split-second transfer without missing a step. Impressive day from an electric point guard prospect.

Sophia wowed me at the PGH Encore, and I expected her to separate herself today at the PGH Illinois Sophomore ID Camp. She did that and then some. Sophia contributed in every phase, overpowering the opposition with her athleticism, strength, and sheer desire to win the effort plays. She knocked down smooth wing jumpers from the outside, came sprinting in like she was shot out of a cannon to secure offensive rebounds, and pinned a defender with a strong seal, caught the entry pass, spun quickly, then powered up off two for the bucket. Sophia penetrated on a hard drive, collapsed the help, and kicked the ball out on a rope to the corner for an assist. She shifted a defender with an elusive double-crossover combo move, drove by with a burst, then scored with a stretch finish at the rim. It was an all-around impressive performance by Sophia in the gym for Team Two.

Claire started the day red hot from beyond the arc at the PGH Illinois Sophomore ID Camp. During the 3v3 segment, she was cooking on the perimeter, and maybe it was my imagination, but my inner coaching voice was shouting, "run her off the line for goodness sake!" The scouting report this season is going to be: leave her open at your own peril. Claire buried three straight mid-corner threes, and she keeps her feet balanced to fire accurately off the bounce. She changed sides, and it didn't throw off her shot in the slightest. Claire fit right in with Team Two in games, draining another three from the corner, working inside to grab an offensive board, and making an unselfish extra pass for the assist. She has great skill, length, and instincts that will be a matchup problem for opponents this winter.

Zaire separated herself as one of the highest-level forward prospects in the gym right from the 3v3 segment, and after what she showed earlier in the spring at the PGH Great Lakes Region Kickoff, I'm not surprised. Length, freakish athleticism, mobility, quick lateral feet, natural shot-blocking instincts, strong rebounder, and the ability to go up strong and finish with either hand. A picture is worth a thousand words: Zaire grabbed a defensive rebound, pushed it up the floor with pace, covering ground in a hurry with her long strides, went up strong, then finished through contact for the and-one bucket. She attacked downhill to force fouls, leaped up to bat down passes on the perimeter, got by off the dribble to score a tough, stretch and-one layup, and finished well around the basket throughout the day. Her length, athleticism, and mobility gave Team Two an advantage on both ends of the court at the PGH Illinois Sophomore ID Camp.

Khloe is scrappy on the defensive end and added some flashy offensive highlights at the PGH Sophomore ID Camp with Team Two. She wiped the ball away on the defensive end, pushed up the floor with pace, used a shifty double crossover move to beat the final defender, then completed the contested fast break bucket at the rim in top gear. Khloe worked hard to gain the advantage inside to secure an offensive rebound, then finished with a smooth reverse. Her quickness, skill set, and physicality provide a versatility that makes her fully capable of impacting games playing different positions on the floor.

Audrey has good length and the fundamental skill set to stretch the floor or get downhill. She has a smooth shot from the outside and can make defenses pay when they give her too much space. Audrey penetrated and showed her ability to get to the rim, slashing off a dribble drive for a layup. She didn't force the issue and played her role well to help Team Two be successful at the PGH Sophomore ID Camp.
