Summer Rankings Update: Top 120 Senior SGs

The evaluation and rankings process was expedited this spring and summer due to the volume of Prep Girls Hoops tournaments in Michigan and mass participation by clubs and teams on our Prep Girls Hoops Circuit. The Prep Girls Hoops College Tour series and Prep Girls Hoops Michigan State Tournament gave us five chances to see prospects compete locally right here in Michigan. Nearly every club with college prospects in Michigan competed in front of our scouts at one Prep Girls Hoops tournament, and many clubs attended more than one. This [program_tooltip program_id='713450' first='REAL' last='']ity created the perfect environment for us to evaluate prospects from across the state against various levels of competition.   After actively evaluating prospects during the first travel session, we now have 326 players ranked. Height, size, speed, athleticism, fundamental skill development, the position a player is projected to play at the next level, and performance in different competitive settings are all taken into account. Our goal with every class is to accurately group prospects into the correct categories of college potential/projection. By the end of senior year, each class breaks down into clear categories: Power Four/D1+, D1/D2+, D2/NAIA+/D3+/JUCO+, NAIA/D3/JUCO, and NAIA/D3 reserve. As I've written many times, the levels of college basketball intersect, cross, and differ in competitive ability throughout all the divisions. All high school classes do not have the same size, talent, or level of college talent. However, based on my tracking of commitments over the past three years, there appears to be a predictable trend in Michigan.   Based on data from the 2024, 2025, and 2026 classes, there could be approximately 410 or more prospects per grade who can play some level of college basketball. There will always be multisport athletes who don't do travel basketball or play in some remote area where we just don't get the opportunity to identify them for our rankings, despite our best efforts. Using averages from the past three classes, there may be anywhere from 10-20 D1 commits, 20-30 D2 commits, and 125-140 NAIA/D3/JUCO commits in a particular class.   <h2 class="wp-block-heading">UPCOMING PGH EVENTS (Use "EvanBell10" code for discount)</h2>   The Freshman Showcase (2030s), August 22nd   <a href="https://events.prepgirlshoops.com/e/2390/register/michigan-freshman-showcase">Registration Link</a>   The Expo (2027-2029s), September 26th   <a href="https://events.prepgirlshoops.com/e/2420/register/the-expo-michigan">Registration Link</a>    Aubrey made a significant splash with MBA UAA 17U throughout the AAU season, culminating in offers from some of the most competitive D3/NAIA programs in the region. Her performance on the circuit earned frequent Top Performer recognition and notice from multiple PGH scouts. Aubrey's physicality, strength, footwork, high motor, efficiency off two around the basket, sharpshooting from beyond the arc, defensive presence, passing vision, and comfortable ball-handling will make her an all-around contributor at the college level. She'll continue her career at a top 40 NAIA program in Indiana Wesleyan following graduation.     Ava became a huge two-guard-wing stock riser during the spring and summer after delivering multiple Top Performer efforts for Factory 17U in front of our scouts. Ava's clutch and confident three-point shooting, length, elusive ball-handling, the ability to weave past defenders, create scoring angles with her fancy footwork, and scoring touch in the paint were strengths in her game. She picked up offers from Albion and Henry Ford.     Kameryn was solid for [program_tooltip program_id='713450' first='REAL' last=''] 17U all spring and summer. She added a noteworthy performance with Sanford Meridian at the Au Sable Shootout and was one of the top prospects in the gym. Kameryn finishes well with either hand and uses good footwork to create scoring angles around the basket. She puts points on the board in a hurry when teams leave her open from three and has quick hands on the defensive end. Kameryn has the versatile skill set, athleticism, length, and physical strength needed to play inside and on the perimeter. She'll be a great addition to a college program and has offers from Aquinas, Alma, and Albion.     Meredith is one of the best guard-wing prospects in this class who doesn't compete on the travel circuit. Her length, athleticism, and versatility immediately catch your attention as a legit college prospect. Meredith can create space with her shifty handles, attack with a burst downhill, get to the rim quickly with her long strides, and finish with touch in traffic. She's an accurate three-point shooter, defensive stopper, and persistent rebounder. Meredith was a Top Performer at Hope Elite Camp, and she's going to be a major producer for South Christian as a senior.     Addi proved her value as a top 80 prospect with a very impressive showing at the Zero Star Showcase in June. Her length, strong frame, accuracy from three, precision, and ability to deliver pinpoint passes to teammates comfortably using her right or left stood out. Addi makes an impact on the offensive glass, finishes well off two feet, and sinks open jumpers from beyond the arc off the bounce or the hop. She's a prospect who can be a difference-maker at the college level.
