Class of 2028 Updated College Prospect Rankings: The Next Step

As these players get closer to their senior year, collegiate potential becomes clearer, and that clarity starts to place players in the D1, D2, and D3 range. Our rankings reflect that, and we know who has gained offers, who has lost offers, and where and how strong college interest is coming from. Junior year is the biggest year for recruitment, and below are a couple of prospects who are a couple things away from making strong push for their recruitment
Off the eye test, Darwish checks a lot of boxes as a legitimate college prospect. She has a college ready frame and a skill set that can translate at the next level depending on where she lands position wise. She is a solid three-level scorer, but most of her impact still shows up around the paint. Though her athleticism has slowed a bit due to injury, if she keeps developing her post game and uses her strength more consistently to score easier, she'll put herself in a really good position. Todd has added a ton to her game and skill set over the past couple of years, mostly on the offensive side, since she's the best perimeter defender in this class. Offensively, she uses her athleticism for most of her scoring impact, but she doesn't shy away from shooting from the outside. As her ability to score in isolation gets stronger, she'll be a player that D1 college coaches can't look past. Few players have a seamless, smooth game like Khloe's. Offensively, she is gifted and can score at all three levels, including in isolation, which most players her age still haven't tapped into. Defensively, there is another gear she can reach. She's aware in the passing lanes and solid on the boards, but with her length, she has the tools to become a lockdown defender. The offers that have piled up since before she entered high school are a stamp of how highly sought after she is, but as her game continues to translate to the next level, her on ball defense will be one of the main areas coaches will want to see improve. Allen has the right intangibles that point to a college level player. The length, the ability to score without the ball, and, most importantly, her defense in a one on one situation. Consistency with these main skill sets will be something to focus on. We could definitely see this year being a breakout one. She'll be one of the top players in her conference. St. Ignatius is going through a rebuild year, with more of their main talent graduating. Stumm will be up for having a big year, and as a player who does her best in a role spot, she'll have to extend her skill set to be a player who might need to score from her own creation, and she has the talent to do so. She's long, has a smooth shot, and can move well with the ball in her hands.
