Offseason Radar Watch Region 1-4A

After going through and evaluating some of the best players in the class of 3A from region to region, we now look at another highly talented class: the class of 4A. Here are five players in Region 1-4A to know before the 2026-2027 school season gets underway.    [player_tooltip player_id='885951' first='Carter' last='Jones'] is undoubtedly one of the best combo guards in the 2027 class.   One of the best parts of Jones' game that makes her stand out from other versatile guards is her willingness to rebound. She is more often than not out in the paint when a shot goes up, battling for a board amongst posts. With her size at 5'11" paired with her athleticism, she is an effective rebounder even against primary centers and power forwards.   On offense, Jones has a great 3-point jumper and has the dribble moves and physicality to create inside scoring opportunities and often capitalize on them.     [player_tooltip player_id='821689' first='Sally' last='McReynolds'] is another player on the Dobyns-Bennett High School team with a dynamic skill set.   One of McReynolds main strengths as a player is her perimeter shooting. She is a great spot-up shooter, having had several games in her junior season with two or more made 3-pointers. This includes a game against Volunteer High School where she made four 3-pointers. McReynolds does a good job of squaring her feet to the basket quickly upon receiving a pass on the perimeter. That helps her have a fast jumper.   McReynolds, on defense at her size, has the ability to guard both on the perimeter and in the interior.     [player_tooltip player_id='904749' first='Molli' last='Stuffle'] in her first season of high school hoops was extremely impressive, especially offensively.   Stuffle in her freshman season was a high-level 3-point shooter. She has a high-arcing jumper that can be effective from all around the arc, and she has the marksmanship to take over games. In an outing against McMinn Central, she had seven made 3-pointers.   Stuffle also has the ability to attack the paint dribbling with her left hand. From inside the arc, she is capable of hitting floaters and pull-up mid-range jumpers.     [player_tooltip player_id='821868' first='Khloe' last='Summers'] in her junior season showcased that she is an elite guard defender.   In multiple games last season, Summers had three or more steals. This includes a game against Green Hill High School where she had seven steals. She sees the floor well, which allows her to be a step ahead of most players in reading passing lanes. She also sets herself up in the most ideal defensive position when her assignment has the ball routinely.       [player_tooltip player_id='755832' first='Peyton' last='Wood'], after missing her junior season, is a player with a lot to prove and has all the talent in the world to do so.   Wood is a player who can score at all three levels of the floor. Her perimeter shot is awfully hard for opposing players to defend at her height. In her sophomore season, she had multiple games with four or more makes from distance.   She is especially dangerous attacking the basket on offense. On the drive, she can hit shots with great difficulty and has no issue scoring through contact.   On defense, Wood is a player who can guard positions 1-5 in most cases. The mix of her length, basketball IQ, and speed allows her to do so. In her sophomore season, in a game against Gibbs High School, she had four steals.
