Pike is another program that is just blessed with several consecutive classes of talent. Their Freshman group this year has several guards and wings, and Lania is one of them. When I saw her this Spring, she did a nice job of taking her strong frame and playing with physicality around the perimeter. She’ll drive the ball, absorb contact, and finish inside, she can basket cut and post, or she can even back down weaker defenders and score over/through them. She is skilled around the perimeter, and she has touch. Watch for her in the future.

continues to emerge as one of the more exciting guards to watch within the IBC program. The shooting guard plays with confidence, pace, and the ability to impact the game offensively in multiple ways. What immediately stands out about Jackson is her ability to create scoring opportunities while remaining under control.
Jackson does a great job knocking down perimeter shots and stretching the floor for her team. She can attack defenders off the bounce, finish around the basket, and make smart reads when defenses collapse. Her ability to score from different areas of the floor makes her difficult to defend consistently.
Defensively, Jackson competes hard and brings energy throughout the game. She understands how to pressure the basketball and create disruption in passing lanes. With her offensive upside and growing all-around game, Jackson is a player college coaches should absolutely continue monitoring closely.

Pike has seen very talented classes in 2026 and 2027 come through, but the 2029 class is extremely deep with talented guards and wings. Lania is one of those, and she could carve out a nice Varsity role next year with the 2026 graduation losses. Lania is a strong, physical guard who likes to attack off the dribble. She has a mid-range pull-up, she can go through contact to finish, but she also has a couple of nice spin-moves inside. In some ways, she reminds me of 2026 Indiana All-Star

showcased her outstanding abilities throughout the showcase, particularly when playing full court. She uses her quickness to attack the basket with control, making smart and effective decisions in transition. During the 5-on-5 session, Jackson displayed her scoring versatility—whether in half-court sets or in transition—hitting smooth jump shots and creating space with her one-dribble spin move. Her creativity and confidence on the floor make her a dynamic and exciting player to watch. As she enters her freshman year at Pike, Lania is poised to develop into an elite guard and a key contributor to her team’s success.

Lania showed that she can flat-out score at the Freshman Showcase. Her shifty quickness and dynamic abilities with the ball were electric. Lania picked off a pass, turned on the jets, and finished with a strong and-one layup. She buried a filthy crossover step-back three, a straightaway triple off the catch, and another up top off the bounce. Lania’s explosive second gear and ability to quickly change directions made her an unstoppable slasher. She utilized high-pick-up euro-step moves to finish many layups in traffic and dropped in floaters. Lania knocked down mid-range pull-ups with confidence and attacked gaps relentlessly off the dribble. Lania drained a jumper after creating space with consecutive inside-out dribbles and used a spin dribble on a middle drive to win the race to the rim for a layup. Her determined drives ended with many free throws and layups. Lania was a true scorer for Team 5 and earned recognition as a Top Performer.
