This past weekend was my first time checking in on Mackenzie, and she still sticks in my mind as someone I was very intrigued with. She has tremendous length, she’s fluidly athletic, and she’s bouncy. She plays with a nice motor, she slices to the basket almost effortlessly, and she has touch outside and in the mid-range game. Using her length and quickness, she should develop into a high-level on-ball defender. But offensively, she fits in almost everywhere on the floor, because she can catch, rip, and attack the rim, or she can knock down an open rhythm jumper when set.

Mackenzie had a productive day for Team 3 at the Freshman Showcase. She covered ground quickly with her long pushout dribbles in transition and delivered a perfect bounce assist to a teammate. Mackenzie drove the length of the court to score a tough, contested layup in top gear. She caught a pass clean and tacked on the finish.
