She is also a strong defender with quick feet, allowing her to consistently stay in front of her matchup. McKenzie has good anticipation on that end of the floor, jumping into passing lanes for steals. She uses her length extremely well, getting her shot off over the top of defenders while using long strides to cover ground quickly on her way to the basket. She is also a strong playmaker who consistently makes good decisions with the ball in her hands. Against zone defenses, Grace does a nice job finding space in the middle and knocking down mid-range jumpers from around the free-throw line. Last month, she competed at the Home Is Where The Heart Is event and put together a strong showing. Her athleticism especially stands out in the mid-range, where she can rise up over defenders for pull-up jumpers. She does a good job lowering her shoulder to create space before getting onto two feet and finishing strong. Nyla also has a nice floater game around the paint.
