Nyla is a versatile scorer who can produce from anywhere on the floor. She creates offense well off the dribble, especially in isolation, and uses her size effectively on the defensive end. Nyla also sees the floor well as a passer and does a good job attacking the basket hard enough to draw contact and earn trips to the free-throw line.

Curry looked great on Saturday as The Potomac School picked up two victories, showcasing her versatility on both ends of the court in wins over SPIRE National (OH) and Manchester (VA). She was remarkably efficient in both performances, and kept defenders off-balance all day with her blend of size (5-foot-11), skill and range on the offensive end. Defensively, she showed the ability to guard multiple positions.

The sophomore guard already holds a solid list of Division I scholarship offers and earned All-Met Honorable Mention honors as a freshman. Expect her to take another leap this season.

Curry is a versatile scorer who can knock down the three but also uses crafty drives to create opportunities around the basket. She navigates through defenders well, splitting the defense and locating gaps while protecting the ball on her way to the rim. She is also effective in transition, using her handle and body control to initiate contact, create separation, and capitalize on scoring opportunities when they open up.

Nyla already holds 16 offers and hasn’t even started her sophomore season yet. She spent the summer competing against some of the best players in the country and will look to carry that experience into a productive season at Potomac School. Nyla is a consistent scorer who regularly puts up double-digit points and continues to show why so many programs are already interested in her.

Nyla has propelled her way to as one of the best guard/wings in the state of Virginia in the 2029 class! A very versatile player that is showing that she can play a full-time point forward if needed. A very skilled player who has had some great performances this spring and summer! This upcoming season she will play a tough high school schedule against teams with multiple division one prospects. A high level player with multiple offers with power 4 potential!

Nyla has good footwork in the paint and uses moves like the Euro step to work her way to the basket. She does a good job lowering her shoulder to create space before getting onto two feet and finishing strong. Nyla also has a nice floater game around the paint. She played two grades up on the EYBL circuit this summer and never folded under the pressure, instead rising to the occasion against older competition.

Curry is a versatile player who can shoot, drive, and facilitate, knocking down threes from the wings and corners and finding open teammates in position to score. She attacks the basket and uses impressive footwork, including step-through, up-and-unders, and spin moves, to navigate defenders and finish at the rim. She also plays through contact, rebounds, and advances the ball in transition.

As a sophomore Nyla played at an elite level the entire weekend. Young talented player that has made a statement this past weekend. She averaged 19 points a game and shot over 50 percent from the field and three point land! A player that can score multiple ways on the floor it’s hard not to believe that she didn’t get the attention of power 4 coaches with her play; she was able to pick up 3 offers coming out of this weekend.

Nyla continues to prove why she is one of the fastest-rising prospects in the country. The talented rising sophomore averaged 19.0 points per game during the live period and showcased the complete package every time she stepped on the floor. At 5-foot-11, she possesses outstanding size, versatility, and athleticism, allowing her to impact the game at multiple positions.

What makes Nyla special is her all-around skill set. She can score from all areas of the court, create for others, rebound, defend, and make winning plays on both ends. Her basketball IQ and feel for the game are advanced for her age, and there seemed to be no aspect of the game she couldn’t influence. Whenever she was on the court, the attention of college coaches was impossible to miss, as many of the top programs in attendance were closely evaluating her performances.

Nyla’s combination of production, versatility, and long-term upside makes her one of the premier prospects in the Class of 2029. Her stock continues to rise with every event, and if her development continues on its current trajectory, she has all the tools to become a high-major recruit and eventually compete for one of the nation’s top college programs. The future is exceptionally bright for this young star.

In front of wall to wall scouts, Nyla’s game did not disappoint. She quietly averaged 19 points for the weekend as she was able to score in three levels. She has ball handling skills of a point guard with the height of a forward which makes her merely impossible to guard.

Nyla can play on the block when defended by smaller opponents, while also stretching the floor with taller and slower opponents. Defensively, she showed her knowledge on the block by becoming a ‘wall’ and disrupting her opponent’s shot on multiple defensive attempts.

Within the last 40 seconds of the first half, she grabbed a defensive rebound, camly walked the ball down the court as she was playing the clock, then effortlessly pulled up from the volleyball line and knocked down a three.
