Nyla was playing up on the Fairfax Stars 17U EYBL team and looked like she belonged. She played excellent defense in their game against Cap City Ballerz with multiple steals on the ball. She also had some nice drives and a three. She is very athletic with a nice frame and length.

is probably the best of them all. Nyla is a knockdown shooter and a great athlete who does a great job attacking the rim. Her rebounding was elite all season, and she finished second on the team in that. She was second in scoring as well and finished the season making first team all-conference and second team all-state for VISAA.

Nyla will return for another season after a strong freshman campaign that already earned her multiple Division I offers. She is a true three-level scorer, finishing strong at the rim while also knocking down mid-range and three-point shots. She also fights hard for positioning on the offensive glass, creating second-chance opportunities and putting them back up effectively.

has been one of the best freshmen in the state, and I’ve enjoyed watching her. Nyla is a great athlete with fantastic size, and you saw that when she attempted to get to the rim. She had a handful of tough drives early, and I liked what she did as a spot-up shooter. She’s also a great passer, even if that’s not something you saw much today, and I think she does well as a secondary ball handler. I love her defensive versatility, and winding down her Freshman season, I think it’s safe to say she is a star in the making.
