As a sophomore Nyla played at an elite level the entire weekend. Young talented player that has made a statement this past weekend. She averaged 19 points a game and shot over 50 percent from the field and three point land! A player that can score multiple ways on the floor it’s hard not to believe that she didn’t get the attention of power 4 coaches with her play; she was able to pick up 3 offers coming out of this weekend.

Nyla continues to prove why she is one of the fastest-rising prospects in the country. The talented rising sophomore averaged 19.0 points per game during the live period and showcased the complete package every time she stepped on the floor. At 5-foot-11, she possesses outstanding size, versatility, and athleticism, allowing her to impact the game at multiple positions.

What makes Nyla special is her all-around skill set. She can score from all areas of the court, create for others, rebound, defend, and make winning plays on both ends. Her basketball IQ and feel for the game are advanced for her age, and there seemed to be no aspect of the game she couldn’t influence. Whenever she was on the court, the attention of college coaches was impossible to miss, as many of the top programs in attendance were closely evaluating her performances.

Nyla’s combination of production, versatility, and long-term upside makes her one of the premier prospects in the Class of 2029. Her stock continues to rise with every event, and if her development continues on its current trajectory, she has all the tools to become a high-major recruit and eventually compete for one of the nation’s top college programs. The future is exceptionally bright for this young star.

In front of wall to wall scouts, Nyla’s game did not disappoint. She quietly averaged 19 points for the weekend as she was able to score in three levels. She has ball handling skills of a point guard with the height of a forward which makes her merely impossible to guard.

Nyla can play on the block when defended by smaller opponents, while also stretching the floor with taller and slower opponents. Defensively, she showed her knowledge on the block by becoming a ‘wall’ and disrupting her opponent’s shot on multiple defensive attempts.

Within the last 40 seconds of the first half, she grabbed a defensive rebound, camly walked the ball down the court as she was playing the clock, then effortlessly pulled up from the volleyball line and knocked down a three.

Great size and with a good wingspan, Nyla is a rising 
star player in the DMV area! With her size she can slash and has a good drive and dribble game to the basket while wrapping up the basketball to protect the ball for layups. She is a legit threat from the three-point line and she has the potential to become an elite defender. Long arms make it easy for her to pick the pocket of her 
defenders; she had an easy double-double with 24 points and 11 rebounds. 

Curry has the length and handles, which she takes advantage of as she attacks and splits defenders in congested areas. Her ability to get to the rim and score against pressure and contact is top-notch. She knows how to protect the ball and maneuver accordingly so she can finish and draw fouls.

Curry showcased tremendous versatility this season, impacting games as both a scorer and playmaker from the wing. The long, athletic freshman rebounds well, defends multiple positions, and has the offensive polish to comfortably handle the ball or score from the perimeter. Her ability to thrive playing up against elite competition highlights her long-terms upside.

Nyla was playing up on the Fairfax Stars 17U EYBL team and looked like she belonged. She played excellent defense in their game against Cap City Ballerz with multiple steals on the ball. She also had some nice drives and a three. She is very athletic with a nice frame and length.

Curry brings a polished three-level scoring package combined with elite rebounding from the wing. Her athleticism and length allow her to impact both ends consistently. With early Division I attention, she enters the spring season as a must-watch prospect.
