We talked about Sira Doumbia Sira Doumbia 6'3" | C Washington | 2027 State IA once today already so we will keep this short and sweet. You can’t teach 6’4. You can’t teach physical domination to a certain extent. You can’t teach prospects to never give up. Those are three things that Doumbia has going for her and because of those thing she is going to be D1 player at the end of the day. This weekend Doumbia received a D1 offer out of Kansas City. That’s pretty monumental for her within this process. Now it’s just about see what else she can build on to bring in more interested suitors moving forward.

I am very curious to see the production that Sira Doumbia might have throughout the rest of her career. Doumbia was someone that stepped up in big moments all Winter long under the hoop, ultimately helping her CR Wash program to a 5A State appearance. She has used that momentum from the Winter season and built on it to start this AAU Spring. The reality is that no one could really match with Doumbia’s this past week. She was a bruiser inside the paint and her team fed her the ball every chance they could get. Her back to the basket work was solid and she never gave up on a play. This helped their team win a lot of games over the past few days and I’m sure it’ll continue to help them moving forward into the rest of the Summer.

We saw major steps the past 4 months out of 6’3 Center – Sira Doumbia Sira Doumbia 6'3" | C Washington | 2027 State IA of CR Washington. Doumbia is still very raw in the skills side of things but her size and understanding of the game helps her produce at a solid rate against most others. When you have this type of size and strength, any team is going to have to throw 2-3 players at you to get stops on defense as long as your team gets you in the proper positions within the offense. We saw that all Winter long. It was taking teams double and triple teams to stop Doumbia once she caught so as long as she can build on that dominance and keep up with her conditioning, she is going to be just fine. In this Update she takes over the #1 pure Center position within this 2027 Class moving into AAU season.

CR – Washington High School went on the road and recorded a big win against Waukee to move their overall record to 10-3. A big reason for this victory came on the inside of the paint with the play of Sira Doumbia Sira Doumbia 6'3" | C Washington | 2027 State IA . Doumbia is a 6’3 Center, that we mentioned earlier this week because she had a standout game on the defensive end in one of her more recent matchups. In this specific contest against Waukee Doumbia registered 25 points (12/18) in the paint, along with 16 rebounds. This is as dominating as any performance that we have seen across the state this season up until this point with the most important factor being that they won the contest in the end. If they can work off of this type of production moving into the Playoff’s, they might give some other teams a run for their money when it matters the most.

Sira Doumbia Sira Doumbia 6'3" | C Washington | 2027 State IA has been someone that we recently discovered last year as being someone who might be able to compete at the college level one day. Well, Doumbia did work last week, recording 8 blocks in one of her said contests. This would be the high for Doumbia on the season in this category and in her career if I’m not mistaken. Doumbia is someone that holds a currently D2 offer out of Illinois and she possesses a lot of promise. You know what they say. You can’t teach height so that Doumbia stands at 6’3 as a Junior in high school, means something. Especially when she is putting together nights like this one on a consistent basis.

One of my favorite aspects of Sira Doumbia Sira Doumbia 6'3" | C Washington | 2027 State IA ‘s game is her efficiency with her movements in the paint and her ability to score straight off the catch. As I have mentioned in a previous article I can tell that Doumbia has been putting work into her offseason, and this improvement has extended into her touch and soft hands. You can count on Doumbia to catch the ball high and keep it there — a skill that is much-needed for today’s centers. While some post players need lots of dribbles and counter-moves to finish in the paint, Doumbia does her work early by sealing hard and relying on a feathery-touch for finishes over the front of the rim. When she does put the dribble down, she does so tactfully and only when necessary (like splitting double teams).

The raw skill and size that Sira Doumbia Sira Doumbia 6'3" | C Washington | 2027 State IA has is eye–opening. Doumbia is a 6’3 Center, that is still very young and raw with her game on the floor but she has a promising future. Her size, strength, and ability to take up space in the middle is impactful to say the least. When you consider that Doumbia just started to take the sport of Basketball seriously about a year ago, you see that her progression up until this point as been ample. She has shown that with the right guidance over the next few years, she is going to be a handful for ANYONE to defend at the college level one day. Doumbia currently holds one D2 scholarship at this time to Lewis out of Illinois but I expect more interest to trickle in before she commits.

If I could give last night’s game a title I would call it the Sira Doumbia Sira Doumbia 6'3" | C Washington | 2027 State IA Game. After battling early foul trouble Doumbia exploded in the second half and was virtually unstoppable in the paint. Finishing the night with 27 points and 14 rebounds, Sira showed finesse at the rim, poise at the free-throw line and a knack for finishing tough shots. Her handles in the paint and soft touch have made huge improvements from her sophomore year — I can tell that she has put in work this off-season. The 6’3″ center brings athleticism and discipline both on offense and defense. She kept the ball high on rebounds and entry passes, used a dependable drop step to finish through double-teams, and kept her hands high for a flurry of blocks. I would keep my eye on Doumbia as she continues to progress in her career — I think she has a huge upside!

This weekend is going to start off an important AAU season for Sira Doumbia Sira Doumbia 6'3" | C Washington | 2027 State IA of CR – Washington High School. Doumbia is a 6’3 Center with natural height and physicality to write about. She is someone that is able and willing to defend inside the paint or out at the three point line, all while being a force to be reckoned with offensively. There is not going to be many situations where Doumbia is the smaller Center or Forward on the floor. At all times, she is usually the tallest and that advantage is going to help Team Iowa 2027 throughout these next few months with her presence inside.

The natural height and strength that Sira Doumbia Sira Doumbia 6'3" | C Washington | 2027 State IA provides on the floor is second-to-none. Doumbia comes in between 6’3-6’4 and she would be categorized as a bruised in the middle underneath. She is a lefty that is very good at going through contact and finishing next to the bucket when the chances present themselves. She has soft hands, good coordination, and great balance for her height and that’s noteworthy. I would be shocked if Doumbia didn’t receive a ton of attention this AAU season with her Team Iowa 2027 E40 program. You can’t teach height and that’s what we have here. She is still very raw in her skill-set in the game but if she gets the correct guidance moving forward and keeps it simple over everything else, she will be a college basketball player before you know it.
