The annual event, put together by the South Carolina Basketball Coaches Association, still took place with the girls having their turn on the court on Saturday.

A number of the state's premier seniors, juniors, sophomores, freshmen and middle school talents converged on the Lowcountry with a bit more than a month remaining before the regular season tips off.

We at Prep Girls Hoops also made the trip to the North Charleston Athletic Center for the day's festivities. We continue our post-Elite Camp coverage with a look at 2028s that caught our attention.

The veteran star for 5A Ashley Ridge displayed exactly why she averaged 9.7 points, 6.1 rebounds and 1.4 steals per game last season. Even though she is listed on the Swamp Foxes' roster last season as a four or a five, Boatwright especially thrives at the wing. With that, she is a consistent threat to place points on the board either as a three or with the 3-point shot as a shooting guard. She will also bring down a sizable number of rebounds. Efficient floor running, finishing at the rim with her left hand and the ability to draw contact and find her way to the free throw line are other positive attributes to Boatwright's game.

Caldwell already has a pair of offers on her resume – both of the in-state variety courtesy of Francis Marion and Claflin. An integral part of back-to-back state championship winning Berkeley teams, Caldwell will be in search of a third this season with coach Crystal Peace's Stags. Caldwell can find herself in a team's starting five either as a point guard or a shooting guard. Even though Caldwell is entering her junior season, she has more experience than the typical 2028 considering she first played at the high school varsity level as a middle schooler. The Palmetto 76ers standout averaged 7.1 points, 3.3 rebounds, 2.5 assists and 1.9 steals in 28 contests last season at Berkeley.

From one junior Caldwell to another. It feels as if it were yesterday when Caldwell was valiantly leading Landrum to a 2A state championship. She is returning for more at The Cage. Even though Caldwell has the height of a three or a four, she thrives in the backcourt at the point. Caldwell will find herself in many iso situations and effectively utilizes her speed and length to deliver emphatic finishes at the rim. Rebounding is another strong point to the veteran guard's game. Caldwell competed in all 32 of the Cardinals' games last season while averaging 20.6 points, 9.2 rebounds, 4.6 steals, 3.9 assists and 2.4 blocks per game.

The previous spring and summer travel season would see Tisdale sport the Charlotte Monarchs uniform. She had a previous stint with Mullins and is thriving as a featured name with 1A Latta. Tisdale is a multi-sport athlete who also excels as a volleyball player in addition to her growing list of basketball achievements. Her scoring and rebounding capabilities make her a possible double-double on a game-by-game basis. Tisdale averaged a double-double last season – 14.6 points and 13.6 rebounds – per game in addition to 3.2 steals, 1.5 assists and 1.2 blocks per contest as a sophomore in Vikings green and gold.

Wright was one of two names representing 5A Chapin at this year's SCBCA Elite Camp. She displayed on Saturday in North Charleston exactly why she garnered so much playing time in her first season with the Eagles – Wright competed in 25 contests last season. Standing at 5-foot-6, Wright thrives at the three. Collecting steals and creating additional offensive possessions for her team is merely one positive element to Wright's game – as is the ability to find spacing as if she were a traditional big. Wright has maintained an active athletic schedule throughout her career which has also include cheer and volleyball.

Last season with 4A Beaufort, Hayward guided the Eagles to a 4A Lower State semifinals berth after playing in 26 games. She averaged 20 points, 5.2 rebounds, 3.8 steals and 3.2 assists. As those statistics indicate, Hayward's game is well-developed and includes the ability to haul in many rebounds and consistently make plays on both ends of the floor. When she has the ball in her hand, opposing defenses have to gameplan for when she will attack, when she will pass and when she will attempt a long range shot. The Palmetto Pressure product was one of three Eagles that were on hand this past Saturday in North Charleston.

Ford is another that has the distinction of being a multi-sport athlete throughout her career as she also has tried her hand at track and field in addition to her basketball achievements. She was one of the more consistent 3-point shooters throughout Saturday's play. As a two guard, she will set up offensively behind the 3-point line – particularly on the wing – and understands when the right times are to try to score and when to attack. Ford also attracts a great deal of attention from opposing defenses. Collecting steals and getting out in transition are two other positive elements to the veteran two guard's game.
