Team Previews- New Albany

New Albany had a tremendous season last year, making it to the Elite 8, with key seniors including 1000 point scorer Mary Tidwell, Addie English's rebounding, and Kira Hurst at the point guard position. However the Eagles have young talent that learned and played valuable minutes last season! Let's take a look at some key players below!

Abby is impressive- I love her decision making with the ball. Last season, there were many times that teams tried to double team and pressure while she had the ball- but her calm mentality was noticeable! Love her court vision, passing, and how she finds paths to the basket! Keep an eye on Leimeister! (Below with ball)

There are players with speed. And then there's warp speed with ultra precision cuts that make defending Evans a nightmare! Julia's ball handling and how she breaks the press creates easy points on the board for the Eagles! She brings electricity with her defense, leadership, and she can put points on the board! (Below with ball, Featured Photo)

Rhoads, who averaged 7 PPG, 2 APG, and 5 REB last season, plays with such a level head, and is difficult to contain because she does so much with and without the ball. Her cuts to the basket, how she sets screens, and how she handles pressure when the game is on the line- let's just say Hartley delivers! Remember her name!

Jeffries loves to put pressure on the ball! She can put on a defensive show with full court pressure and cause turnovers in no time! Nice mid-range jumper, she has wheels, and plays with intensity! Distributes the rock well! (Below, #24)

Mosley, as seen below on left (#34), covers a lot of territory on defense in no time! Athletic power forward who can come out of no where with blocks, clean up the boards, and protect the rim! She's a dog on defense!
