Team Previews- Watkins Memorial

The [program_tooltip program_id='858177' first='Lady' last='Warriors'] are led by new leadership this season- and these coaches are very well known to women's basketball! Head Coach Jack Purtell and Assistant Coach Dave Butcher know exactly what it takes to win games, and they are looking forward to teaching this young group of ladies a thing or two about the game they've successfully coached for decades! Let's take a look at some key players for Watkins Memorial!

[player_tooltip player_id='1939270' first='Isabella' last='Polley'] is no joke! A couple years ago, she was already turning heads with her moves in the paint and complete domination with her attention to detail on defense, particularly with rebounding and boxing out! Well, some things never change! At 6'0, built Ford tough, Polley is a machine who finishes so strong around the rim, regardless of double teaming. Beautiful shooting touch from outside! She is special! (Below with ball, Featured Photo)

Keep your eyes on Caldwell- she can light it up from deep! And when Kamryn's feeling it from 3-point range, watch out! She's one that can play from multiple positions, shows her athleticism in timing blocks, defends well in the paint with her length, and she plays aggressive on the ball defense, anticipates passes, which results in fast breaks and buckets! (Below boxing out)

Anam will play a key role for the [program_tooltip program_id='858177' first='Lady' last='Warriors'] success- her defensive pressure and how she creates turnovers is a major asset to the team! She has a strong motor that gets her places in transition! Love how her hands and feet are active, always alert!

This diaper dandy already understands pressure as she recently finished her freshman season of golf! Emma has speed, handles, and the mindset to help facilitate plays, and the ability to find her teammates for buckets! Booher knows how to deliver and score. Look for Emma to come out hungry and attack on both ends of the ball!
