Team Previews- West Clermont

One of the top teams that will contend for a trip to the state Final 4 this season will be West Clermont, coming out of Cincinnati. They will have a tough regional to get through, but the talent this team has is incredible.

Not only do they have the state's top sophomore, but they also bring in another top 10 sophomore and the transfer of a rising top 30 junior in Ohio. All eyes will be on West Clermont this season as they look to survive a tough regular season schedule and beyond.

Players to Watch

She may only be a sophomore, but she is up there in consideration for Ms. Basketball already. Bella will be a problem to handle on the court this year, she had a great off-season. She is a legit 6'1 now and has gotten stronger. Her overall court experience with high level basketball is there. Can light up defenders from anywhere, deep threes and a solid midrange shot. Well over 20 offers and a different level kid.

A point guard who can do everything with the ball, and a natural leader on the court. She is all basketball 100% of the time, plays with a very high energy and emotion. Has worked on change of pace as the point guard. Finishes with a variety of moves, she has them all. Shows deep range and getting better. Another D1 kid who looks to continue to get better and provides quite a duo with her and Bella.

If West Clermont wasn't already good enough, welcome to the show J Jenike as she moves over from Western Brown. She was the complete show at WB, here she will fit in nicely with her skill set with what West Clermont already has. Can absolutely light up a defense. She is a great combo guard, tough nosed and can make high level shots. Fit in well with her great work ethic and working on her game to improve.

She steps into a starting role this year and looks to add to their attack. She does have experience off the bench as a strong defender who can rebound. Athletic kid who moves to a post spot after playing guard earlier in high school. Plays bigger than she is and can run the court very well.

Sleeper to Watch

Great athlete most successful in track. She can jump out of the gym and will guard you baseline to baseline. Loves to get after it and play defense. Plays with a high motor and enthusiasm, wanting to make a big impact. Does the little things for her team to succeed.
