[player_tooltip player_id='311381' first='Divine' last='Bourrage']'s commitment to LSU for her collegiate career made national headlines when it was first announced and for good reason. Bourrage comes into this 2025 Update retaining the #1 spot out of her Class for the state of Iowa, while also being the #11 ranked prospect in the Country according to ESPNW as of last week. There isn't anything that Bourrage can't do on the hardwood and with that being said, she still could take her game to a higher level in my opinion. She is going to be someone in the Tigers program, that could step up and make a difference right away if she gets a shot. It's not going to be an easy task but it's more than possible at this point. For the near future though, Bourrage will return to Davenport North and look to lead her team to another respectable State run by the end of this Winter. With the return of [player_tooltip player_id='311365' first='Journey' last='Houston'] to the lineup, they should be a tough group to stop on any given night.

The Creighton Bluejay's have secured a top-notch recruiting Class out of the Midwest for the 2025 Class. They have players coming in from all across the Country but the killer coming out of Iowa will be PG, [player_tooltip player_id='311396' first='Ava' last='Zediker']. If you've been following along at all the past few high school seasons, then you know that Zediker is the real thing. She is a Top 100 rated prospect out of the Country currently and that should stay true up until her graduating in 2025. She has a handle, she leads by example, she is the definition of a coach on the floor, and she always makes the correct decisions. When you combined that all together, you get a baller. That's what Zediker is and always has been.

[player_tooltip player_id='311351' first='Amani' last='Jenkins'] took the AAU floor this Spring/Summer with one goal on her mind and that goal was to show everyone watching that she can play at an elite level. Prior to this Spring, Jenkins reopened her recruitment from Marquette and quickly gained a ton of interest while competing with her [program_tooltip program_id='779942' first='ETG' last='Midwest Elite 3SSB'] program. It didn't take long for Jenkins to find her new home in Virginia Tech and she is going to be able to keep that momentum rolling into her upcoming Senior season with Johnston High School. This season, she is going to be look at as their main producer in the middle so as long as she does her job, the Dragons will see a lot of success as they try to bring home back-to-back, 5A State Titles.

Knockdown. Automatic. A Natural. These are three terms that would help describe [player_tooltip player_id='311363' first='Libby' last='Fandel'] and what she brings to the hardwood whenever she is competing. Fandel made the big jump into the Top 100 Rankings by ESPNW at the end of the Summer and she hasn't looked back since. Shortly after, she committed to the Kansas Jayhawks program to continue on her basketball journey. Fandel is going to return to the state of Iowa this Winter, looking to put together a high school season to remember from a group perspective. With her being committed now, there is a lot less pressure in the air and that is going to help the Saints team hold their own. It'll be fun to observe what this team can do over the next six months. With the prospects they have returning and the new ones they have coming in at the underclassmen level, they should have a high ceiling this Winter.

"A small setback for an even bigger comeback." This is a phrase that we have heard time and time again but I think that [player_tooltip player_id='311365' first='Journey' last='Houston'] of Davenport North is going to embody this statement over the next year of high school Varsity ball. Houston is coming off of a year where she had to take a break because of an injury but I've heard that she is back to full strength and ready to show the state how great she can really be. Houston is a the mixture of a CG/SF on the high school floor but with the Hawkeyes, she should sit at more of the 2/3 position because of her size. It'll be really interesting to see how she fits into that program by the time that she gets to that level. It'll come down to who else they have on roster but no matter, if Houston works hard enough and finds her niche with the group, she will thrive. We are still somewhat a good distance from all that but it is something to pounder while looking forward.
