Alyssa Fitzgerald got deep into her bag for Georgetown visitation against Manchester. Alyssa has a great handle, and she has a great behind-the-back move that creates a lot of space. She was money shooting the ball in this game, especially early, and she was one of the better shot creators at the event. She uses a quick clean crossover that allows her to get her shot off from both three and mid range. She is a smart passer and gets her’s scoring at all three levels. She arguably had the best ball handling at this event.

Alyssa Fitzgerald was on fire shooting the ball from three against St. Anne’s-Belfield, and she was able to do it in multiple ways. Alyssa handled the ball more than anyone on the team, but still found ways to dominate this game as a catch-and-shooter. She did a great job passing the ball, then relocating to a spot to get a good look. She used pump fakes on closing defenders to get herself open, and she had a few ball screens early, which she used to get good looks off the bounce. Georgetown Visitation was really successful against this STAB zone, and it forced them to go man after Georgetown took a 6-point lead late.

A nice polished player that plays the game the right way! Is a good shooter she can knock down tough perimeter jumpers as well with consistency. She can attack the basket off the dribble to pass or score as well to set her teammates up. Alyssa has good size and looks like she can play both positions significantly at a high level.

Alyssa can pop the three off the dribble or off the catch. She has been putting up good numbers during the high school season and she will look to continue the solid play at the GUAA Rise Session 1 this weekend followed by the Takeover Cinco De Mayo to start off May.

This was one of the best showings I’ve seen from Alyssa. She was in her zone as she was knocking down threes of the catch and with the crossover pull up against defenders. She ran the floor well a showed good hands to catch and finish.

Alyssa stays focused through aversity and if she makes a mistake she has the ability to move on to the next play. She is unselfish and looks for her teammate and she is money from the free throw line late in games.
