number is a physical guard who is just scratching the surface of her potential, and the Freshman is off to a good start. Pierce plays with no worries about contact. She actually embraces it and that’s something every player on the court doesn’t want. Pierce has good handles that continue to improve. She has quickness and has the ability to change direction on a dime. That makes her dangerous on the court and there were several plays where it stood out. Pierce faked a downhill move going right, stopped on a dime, crossed back to the left hand and connected on a sweet midrange jumper. Her speed and agility are weapons that she will continue to use in her arsenal. She also possesses great confidence and that’s another tool that will drive the young prospect to higher heights.
