Angel Pierce Angel Pierce 5'5" | PG/SG Fleming Island | 2027 State FL ran the point guard position for Fleming Island and did a good job doing so. Pierce has shown leadership running the show for a very young team. Over the past few years she has grown more patient with the ball and has increased her knowledge of the point guard role. The young guard still is aggressive and creative, and at times has a scorer’s mentality. Defensively, she is aggressive and plays up on the ball handler. She does a good job of disrupting the opponents rhythm and creating turnovers in the process. The two way guard causes havoc on defense and can score and facilitate – traits of a guard on the rise.

Angel Pierce Angel Pierce 5'5" | PG/SG Fleming Island | 2027 State FL was a standout at the Battle on the Island, showing real offensive creativity. She was very effective in the mid-range, played with grit, and made smart reads out of the pick-and-roll. Highlighted by an excellent pass to the roller for a clean bucket, she showed impressive feel and timing. Pierce also added a jump-step finish in traffic and displayed a soft shooting touch at the rim. Pierce’s displayed a lot of control and poise throughout the tournament.

Angel Pierce Angel Pierce 5'5" | PG/SG Fleming Island | 2027 State FL number is a physical guard who is just scratching the surface of her potential, and the Freshman is off to a good start.  Pierce plays with no worries about contact. She actually embraces it and that’s something every player on the court doesn’t want. Pierce has good handles that continue to improve. She has quickness and has the ability to change direction on a dime. That makes her dangerous on the court and there were several plays where it stood out. Pierce faked a downhill move going right, stopped on a dime, crossed back to the left hand and connected on a sweet midrange jumper. Her speed and agility are weapons that she will continue to use in her arsenal. She also possesses great confidence and that’s another tool that will drive the young prospect to higher heights.

Angel Pierce Angel Pierce 5'5" | PG/SG Fleming Island | 2027 State FL was an impressive young guard I saw at the Battle on the Island. Pierce is a confident young player who wants the ball in her hands and doesn’t fear the moment. A lot of players run from the ball handling responsibilities and Pierce runs to it. Her speed on the floor was also impressive and her “in your face” style of defense was refreshing. Pierce is a young player to continue to watch. She has the “it” factor and is going to be special when it all comes together.
