Seven Gourdet Seven Gourdet 5'10" | PF/SF Fleming Island | 2028 State FL gave a valiant effort in round 1, showing why she is one of the top young power forwards in the area. Gourdet’s team didn’t prevail, but the Sophomore made it clear that she belongs in the conversation for top 2028 power forwards on the First Coast. She led her team with 7 rebounds, including some put backs late in the second half. Gourdet is an athletic and powerful forward and she does most of her damage in the paint. She runs the court well, snags balls out of the air with her excellent hands, and converts in the paint and consistently through contact.

Seven Gourdet Seven Gourdet 5'10" | PF/SF Fleming Island | 2028 State FL was back to her normal self at the Tampa Bay Invitational, posting a double – double (10 point and 12 rebounds). Gourdet has some of the best hands around and does a good job of snagging rebounds and passes out of the air. Gourdet does a good job of filling the lanes and scoring in transition. On offense, she plays well through physical contact and gets to the free-throw line often.

She attacks the glass, crashes for offensive rebounds, and generates easy buckets with her hustle. Gourdet also runs the floor well, turning defense into transition points and putting constant pressure on opposing forwards to keep up with her motor. Defensively, she embraces contact and isn’t afraid to battle against size or strength. Her competitiveness sets the tone and gives this five its edge.

She dominates the glass on both ends, using her size and strength to control rebounds. Gourdet finishes well around the rim and has a knack for getting to the free throw line. Defensively, she reads the floor well, sliding over from help-side to block shots. As she continues to refine her offensive skills, her stock will only keep rising.

Gourdet’s domain was in the paint and she showcased an ability to score around the goal through physicality, strength, and athleticism. Gourdet also does a great job in the transition game and can finish with power. She does a great job of rebounding and starting the break. Gourdet averaged 10 points per game and right at 7 rebounds per game. She was a standout this season as a freshman and she could make a huge impact in the Districts.

Seven Gourdet Seven Gourdet 5'10" | PF/SF Fleming Island | 2028 State FL was very good on Saturday. Gourdet rebounded well,  ran the floor  well and scored in transition all game long.   Her competitive nature really stood out and her multiple offensive rebounds were impressive.  Gourdet is a physical player who doesn’t mind mixing it up against the opponent.  She was special in the transition game and capitalized on multiple fast break layups.  The talented Freshman was selected to the all tournament team.
