Micah Bussey Micah Bussey 5'8" | PG/SG Fleming Island | 2028 State FL is another young player who could make strides this upcoming evaluation period. Bussey’s bread and butter skillset is her three-point shooting. Bussey has a nice shooting stroke, and she can get hot from behind the arc when she sees a few go in the rim. In addition to launching threes, the 2028 guard has good court vision and makes nice passes to teammates in rhythm. Bussey also has the floater in her repertoire and can use it when she is run off the three-point line aggressively. This evaluation period will be a big one for the young sniper. She will have the stage to show her overall game and showcase her ability to impact various parts of the game.

She operated within the flow of the offense, played solid defense with discipline, and limited dribble penetration. On offense, she was efficient from deep (2-for-3 from three), she spaced the floor and impacted the game without forcing action. Bussey can score at all levels, but is a threat from behind the arc, every time the ball touches her hands.

Bussey’s motor and athleticism kept her in the middle of the action — running the floor, defending, and finding ways to score. She never drifted out of a play and showed the ability to impact the game without needing the ball in her hands constantly.

Micah Bussey Micah Bussey 5'8" | PG/SG Fleming Island | 2028 State FL is a combo guard with a scorer’s mentality, always finding ways to create scoring opportunities. Off the ball, she was constantly moving and staying in a shooter’s stance, ready to score whether at the rim or behind the arc—where she shot at a high percentage. Around the basket, she showcased the ability to finish with either hand and even used her off-hand to throw off defenders’ timing. Micah is a creative player who can impact the game in multiple ways.

Micah is a name I hear about, but I haven’t seen her with my own eyes. She was part of an impressive Freshman trio last year for Fleming Island. Her frame, ability to handle the rock, and effort on both sides of the court will be good to see in a showcase event like this. Looking forward to seeing how she stacks up against the best!

Micah Bussey Micah Bussey 5'8" | PG/SG Fleming Island | 2028 State FL had a few positive plays the few times I saw her last year.  She was composed in the big game pressure and handled the ball under a lot of pressure from the opposition.   Bussey is a confident shooter who can shoot the ball from multiple areas on the floor.   In  last years Christmas tournament, she knocked down some impressive shots – a baseline jumper and a floater in the paint. Bussey showcased great court vision and had the ability to make the pass.  This year after a good Freshman season, Bussey is poised for a bigger Sophomore season with more responsibilities.

The young guard has great court vision and does a good job of advancing the ball and passing the ball to the open teammate.
